And I had Chronos on the back, because I ** KNEW **he was the politician.

A guy who talks about how to vote THAT MUCH must be doing something.

Chronos bought my vote last Night. As he’s dead, I cannot vote toDay.

Well I am still here.

Who got protected last night?

Have you asked Ped about this? Does his death relinquish you?

The PM I got explicitly said that I cannot vote.

Nobody answer that. The Doctor, when he claims, should say who he protected. His target can then confirm the answer, which confirms the Doctor’s claim.

Rysto, do you mind posting your PM ?

:smack: Let me be more specific.

Rysto, can you post the pm on the fact that you can’t vote?

The PM I got for having my vote bought? Sure:

I still feel that the Doctor should NOT claim truthfully, but should claim to be Vanilla Town. The Doctor has the possibility of stopping a Night kill and gaining Town an extra day, which is almost certainly the most powerful Town role in the game at this juncture, and thus one which should be hidden from the scum. Obviously, if the Doctor ends up in danger of being lynched, he can then claim, name his protectee and thus be confirmed.

We may well be at lynch or lose here(we are if there are 4 blackhearts). I’m not sure if it’s the best idea for a confirmable townie not to claim toDay.

There is a double negative here. Can you please elaborate?

The downside of the Doctor claiming is that he becomes an obvious Nightkill target.

The downside of him not claiming is that he might be lynched. But if he is in danger of being lynched, he can claim and be confirmed, so that isn’t really a downside.

Am I missing something here?

I think Rysto means that he thinks the doctor should claim fully when his/her turn comes up in the claim order.

Agreed.

I was asking more about the “No one shouldn’t not not claim by not yes claiming.” statement.

My variables indeed got compounded. Both on the sending end, and the receiving end. My vote was an attempt to cover myself, in a situation where it was not at all the right move to make. At all.

I started understanding what Chronos was saying in his posts. I got that he was saying two things at once. I knew what Chronos was doing, and I caught on, and confirmed what he was ACTUALLY saying by returning messages of the same kind.

Everyone has been busy analyzing facts. EVERYONE. I didn’t understand exactly what was going on. I put too much trust in the power roles, and not enough trust in how to ACTUALLY play Mafia.

The worst part of it, is that other players were counting on me to actually Mafia the way they are used to. I would like to think that I took a few notes from Chronos’ book before he left. They will see play in my next game.

Mahaloth, I honestly thought you were a power role. I was on the fence over what your allignment was. If push came to shove, I would put you into the Town camp. Based on my Magic / Haggle Experience, I thought that simply voting for you, it would protect me. But, timing got away from me, push came to shove, and I Went with a theory I had. In hindsight, and based on EVERYTHING since my vote for you, I now see how I have this completely backwards. COMPLETELY.

I didn’t want others to vote for you, because I figured you were town. Also, I figured in my own little world, that the bonus would not work if more than one person voted for you.

Yes. Insane. I blame Haggle.

Where does that leave us now, Mahaloth? I now believe that you are indeed town, but I am not sure if you have a power role or not now.

Suffice it to say, I am done voting for you. [ Don’t take it personally  ] Also, it would seem that my use of the Double Effect will level up from this game, if nothing else.

If you guys see where I can improve on this, please let me know.

So, we are just waiting for Peeker to claim right now, then?

Oh, and I figured it was something like that, Meeko. I knew it was “insane troll logic” or something. It’s cool.

Yes, I think that the doctor should claim. I think that it’s more important that we know who we can trust. Besides, we’re either 0.5 or 1.5 mislynches away from losing; so a doc-block doesn’t improve our position at all.

The Doctor should NOT claim.

This reads like a Scum ploy to identify the Doctor. If it’s not, it is at least anti-Town.

The Doctor should lie and claim Vanilla.
