In the book, the climax / ending of the story is that a Priest continually asks for the town to confess, on the matter of who was with Pryne. All the while, the Priest asking for someone to confess, is indeed the perp himself. He literally beats himself up over it, with a Cat o Nine tails, IIRC.
So. based on the ending of the book, I believe what peeker has posted is truthful. I honestly do not recall names at this point, but there is a Priest/Reverend that matches what Peeker has claimed in the Novel.

I looked at this, and I wasn’t exactly sure what, exactly was going on. I just had this sudden Eureka moment, much like when you KNOW you have won a game of solitaire. This was the first breadcrumb I ever picked up. Ever. It just clicked.

So, on one level, I KNEW that Chronos was the Politician, even back here. Chronos was over the top talking about voting. I had to return a message to Chronos that I was picking him up.
We went back and forth on Magic The Gathering for a while. And I knew I could sneak a quetion back to him. He denied that he played, and I was fairly sure we had talked on MTG long before. I saw a chance to move. I Called him out on his magic playing history, and also got to return a message.
Which, I said about his denying Magic, but I was MEANING to ask “You are the ones dropping breadcrumbs here, right?”
This last post seems entirely out of place. But, I think it was more the timing than anything else. The first line was “Yes”. At this point, I was convinced that he was the politician.

Right, Allwalker gets a Pure if Peeker is Town or Converted Sinner. If Peeker is BH, then Allwalker gets BH. If Peeker is one of the starting Sinners, Allwalker gets Sinner. If Allwalker is telling the truth, Peeker is either Town or Alpha scum. That’s what the semi-confirmed means.
