Even a mason link isn’t quite good enough in this game. It’s possible, for instance, for Meeko to be killed and confirmed as a Busybody, but special ed meanwhile has been Sinfected and chosen to embrace Sin.
Meanwhile, what ought we to do about Captain Pinkies? We were all willing to ditch him when he wasn’t showing up at all, but now that he’s made a couple of appearances, suddenly nobody seems to have a problem with him. A lurker who genuinely never shows up is no threat at all, since he presumably wouldn’t be participating on the scum board or using any powers he might have, but he’s just proven that he’s not in that category. And we have no game content from him for the entire week: His two posts this page were nothing but “sorry I’m not posting more”. And even if he’s willing to sub out, it’ll be tough to find a replacement (it sounds like pedescribe has been twisting arms to get reps as it is), and we’d have a serious information shortage on whomever did replace him.

Oh…do I have my game days and nights mixed up? I was Sinfected last night? I was thinking it was two nights ago and that I would be pure tomorrow “morning.”
There is no way to trust either of them on anything.
Paul could be a Blackheart with the power to dis-sinfect someone.
Paul could be a Sinner with that power trying to earn Town credibility
Paul could be Town with that power
Angel could be a Sinner hoping to avoid detection by a Town investigator who can see the seed of sin or wanting Town to waste it’s dis-sinfection power.
Angel could be a Blackheart who was genuinely sinfected last Night and wants to be free of it.
Angel could be Town who genuinely wants to be free of the Sinfection
Angel could be Town who has changed over to the Sinner side and doesn’t want to be dis-sinfected, but she can’t really tell us that.
So, basically, they could be telling the truth, they could be lying, and we’d never know one way or another.
My vote is currently on **Chronos **for his repeated promotion of actions that seem pro-Sinner. I admit it’s not a rock solid case. It’s just the one that I put the most stock in currently.
I’m also pinged by **Angel **still. I know my initial vote was for the editing thing (still a pro-Scum move, thank goodness, we’ve avoided editing since then). I’m also pinged by her lack of posting. I don’t recall playing a game with her where she’s been Scum. She’s very vocal when Town (Even more than I am, if that’s possible) And she’s been remarkably quiet this game. I know it’s meta-gamey and I know she’s claimed difficulty with the set up of the boards, but she’s really smart and should have the boards figured out by now., but it’s still pinging me.
The long and short of it is this, if we are going to lose ANOTHER player for a non in-game reason, I think we should fast-forward the in game clock, or something.
At the very least, If we are getting someone NEW in, then we SHOULD reset all of the current votes.
We WILL get new informaiton from new players.

I don’t think it is fair to maintain a vote to one person or another, when the game WILL change, regardless of any Vote, or No vote, or both.
Okay…then I have to ask my question again. If there’s already been one game night where I prayed, then how can Paul prove that he diSinfected me last night? I will pray tonight and I should be okay tomorrow.

Angel, you were infected during Night 1, to self-cleanse you must pray for two nights*. So you cannot have prayed at all yet. I mean, WE found out you were given the seen of sin on Day 2, I presume you found out about the same time as well, correct? If I understand everything correctly, you shouldn’t be able to do any praying on the same night you were sinfected.
But that’s just sort of the way it works.
In my last game, one player decided to just not play. I mean, they popped in every few (lowercase) days and said they would be in later with a full analysis, but they never showed up. They ended up with almost everyone voting for them and were subbed out with one hour left in the Day, sucked to be her, but she pulled it off.
I think it was the beginning of Day 2…that would explain it, I couldn’t have prayed during the middle of the night then, could I? The PM is titled, “During The Night…”
I was asked in that PM (which I posted a copy of earlier) what I chose to do. So as soon as I saw the PM (which apparently was quite a bit after pedescribe sent it to me) I responded that I chose to pray. The response I got to that was “Noted.”
So all along I’ve been thinking I got the PM in the night and started praying immediately, but that’s not the case. Now I understand what you all have in mind with Paul and me.
I think, in order to purify yourself, you would have to PM Pede during TWO nights that you are going to pray. If you have a power role, you wouldn’t be able to use it during the nights you chose to pray.
