You’re saying that Captain may have used his power to infect someone during the Night because he was Ostracized… Am I correct?
and, a second yes/no question
Do you think it’s likely that we had only one Sinner?
Because I’m certainly thinking that the game is very unbalanced for the sinners if there was only 1 who could infect. That person would HAVE to survive a long time to have a decent shot at winning, since they would only win when everyone alive is sinfected. If they died early, a small percentage would be sinfected. (still a possible win, but not very likely)
I think it’s more likely that there are a few Sinners, and they can continue to sinfect.
I agree with Ed, and I further think that all this speculation about Sinners is unlikely to be productive. The nice thing about it is that if there are more sinfections, we will almost certainly hear about it and be able to make judgments from there. If nobody else reports a sinfection in the next few days, it probably means that we have dealt with them and have only one scum team left to defeat.
Oh, and vote Angel for not clearly explaining her reasons for voting for Rysto.
Well, it couldn’t have been that first one, since we’d have known if someone was infected at the time of their death. And it’s also possible that Angel was paul’s Sinfection, and that Pinkies forgot to do his. But it seems more likely than not that there was someone else.
Anyway, Thing Fish is probably correct that focusing on Sin specifically is counterproductive. We’ve hurt them pretty bad, and they probably can’t hurt us. And anti-town is anti-town; if we see someone acting against the Town, we lynch them, same as any other game.
I am not sure if you meant for this to be open to everyone, but I’ll answer as well.
No, it seems unlikely that we would have had just one initial Sinner. You basically said what I was thinking. Why even have it as a faction? The lone Sinner would be most likely screwed, unless they had a way to sinfect more than one per Night. By eliminating execution, they would have been even more screwed(losing the Daytime potential sinfection).
I would guess there are 2-3 Sinners, with one dead. Do you guys agree? Am I wrong in my estimation?
You’re assuming that the sinfection happened before the Night Kill. Depending on the order:
The Sinfection could have targeted the same person who was NK’d, but because the kill went through first, the person escape.
Or paul’s sinfection could have targeted **Angel **AND the Sinners could have targeted Angel, resulting in only 1 Sinfection.
Or the paul’s sinfection could have targeted **Captain **or another Sinner who, of course, couldn’t be sinfected more and wouldn’t admit it anyway. 4. Or one of the Sinfections could have targeted a Blackheart who has chosen to remain quiet since their win condition doesn’t change and they don’t want to draw attention to themselves.
Or one of the Sinfections could have targeted someone who had some sort of Seed of Sin protection
Or one of the Sinfections could have hit a Townie who has chosen to remain quiet for their own reason (conversion of win condition maybe?), like you suggested.
and I may be forgetting something else.
I agree that we need to focus elsewhere, but let’s not assume we’re free from the worry of the Sinners winning. We’ve killed only 1 Sinner, and if there was just 1 to start with, then they had almost no chance of winning anyway. I still see no reason to assume just one sinner.
I think to have started with 3 Sinners would probably have made the balance the best. With potentially various ways to remove the seed of Sin or force it’s removal, as well as the expected death of some of the Sinfected players, they’ve got a tough win condition.
Let’s help an old man out. I am slogging through this bet it is slow going at this point.
I have never been a replacement, ever, so it’s kind of disconnected.
Anyone want to provide a Cliff’s notes version of what has transpired. Matter of fact a couple of folks synopsyses (sp?) would be kind of helpful.
Not only would it help me get up to speed but I think it would also be kind of telling.
Bad guys will either jump at the chance to sway me one way or be quiet if their case is weak. Conversely, good folks ought to pipe right up in their righteousness.
And a warning. Since I play this game on a BB it very linear for me. So don’t hold it against me if I suggest that XXXX did blah blah blah on page Z. And then come to find out that XXXX was really blah blah blah on page Z + 4.
