All right, it’s getting close enough to the end that I ought to have a vote on record. Since I expressed my suspicions at the start of the day, Mahaloth hasn’t really done much to further my suspicions. On the other hand, looking at Nanook’s full vote history:
1: Dismisses “case against Chronos” as lynching the loud (note: I only had one vote on me at the time).
Defends editing
Votes Spurious, with no explanation
2: Defends self for low participation
Points out apparent contradiction in paul and special ed’s claims
3: Defends self for low participation
Tells Meeko to think a little closer to inside the box
Defends self against charge of bandwagoning
Declares intent to vote for paul or special ed
4: Defends not voting
5: Discusses possibility of single-Sinner start.
Speculates that Sinners, even if not finished, are crippled
Defends choice of hypothetical protective role
6: Raises possibility of a non-Town protective role
7: Further discusses possibility of non-Town protective role
8: Defends editing
9: Defends editing
10: Explains peeker’s nickname for him
11: Expresses doubt about Angel’s claim, votes her based on lying
12: Expresses doubt about Angel’s claim
13: Further discusses Angel’s claim
I count a total of 21 different contributions there, in 13 posts. But a lot of those are duplicates: Three contributions are a defense of his own low participation, three are defenses of editing (which, even if only slightly anti-Town, is still pretty clearly not pro-Town), three are about not trusting Angel’s recent claim, three are discussing the possible motivations of the protector we may or may not have, two are about the apparent contradiction between paul and ed, and at least one was completely irrelevant to the game (explaining peeker’s nickname).
Further, most of those contributions came after I said I was suspicious of him, and his first two points are agreeing with things I’d said, which might be an attempt to butter me up.
What I’m not seeing here is much attempt to find Scum. Even if we charitably count the unexplained vote for Spurious on Day 1, I’m only seeing three offensive moves in there, one of which didn’t even have a vote attached. Town should be fighting harder than that.
