I said that because you tend to swoop in, make harsh accusations, and then disappear for a while. I’m not the only person who has noticed, and cases against bother Thing Fish and Mahaloth are starting to rear their heads. That’s what I meant by that.
Meanwhile, peeker is making some strange plays. If we were both Scum it would be useful to build a case against him to save my own skin, to buy some Town cred. In peeker’s plays I see a lot of eccentricities, but I don’t see it as the scummiest game in Town. Scummy yes, but not scummiest.
Frankly, I think my later posts have been more coherent than when I started. A few measured scenic trips to my point, admittedly. I feel I am truly just now getting this game. Perhaps I am picking things up, perhaps I see the big picture, perhaps I see the details. It is almost as if, I wanted this game to be logic puzzle, (The dog owner lives two doors down from the blue house, and can not hear the bagpipe player.) , but instead, this game is closer to cryptic crosswords.
I glossed over this game, and a LOT of posts, and something did click for me.
I know my days are numbered. IIRC, the last post in the masonry happened to be from ed talking about how one or the other of us would more than likely go. [This was on the day of ed’s death.]
It could be the former, it could be the pressure of latter, perhaps both. I really get the feeling that I would do a LOT better now, but I know it is short lived.
and i just have to say, thanks to all who have served. it really needs to be a day of remembrance.
ok, now that is out of the way.
i will never ever play a game as a sub ever again. i started off the same way i always do. one post at a time. problem is that as days progress stuff that i am positing is potentially already resolved. so it comes off puzzling or inconsistent, i understand. tough shit.
someone upthread suggested a number of scum based on the starting numbers. they must not know much about this game. square root, baby, square root.
and it’s weird. when you start off reading the whole thread at one big gulp it’s kind of like reading the first 90 percent of a novel. you get pretty close to end scenarios. compared to chapter by chapter analysis.
ma is a blackheart, for sure. i also think that two of chronosthing fish and allwalker are as well, maybe all three.
I’m still not sure what the point is to analysis you want to post before learning all, if you’re not going to do it in-game.
And frankly, I don’t know what you’re talking about with “Epic Post”. It sounds almost like you want to be removed from the game for making your post, or something? I fail to see what the benefit of that is.
It was a half-baked Idea that I thought Pede would* never *go for.
Then again, seeing as how he knows how I mean “Epic”, I figured I could test the idea. I’m not sure if he will say yes to the idea, and I have yet to offically accept the offer, if indeed it is made.
Chronos:
In Magic The Gathering, there is a series of effects, that are incredibly powerful. The drawback, however, is that once you play one of those effects, it is the last effect you can play in the game. [Most of the effects repeat themselves, each turn.]
**I was suggesting, that I would make a final post in the game and leave the game entire, in order to negate ALL night powers tonight. **
Everybody knows I am town. Peeker is a ing that I am not long for this world.
So in other words, you’d like the game moderator to completely change the rules in the middle of the game to give you more power. I fail to see how that would be fun or fair for anyone.
Further thought on that: What good would it do, even if pede did allow it? You’d be denying the Scum their night-kill, but in so doing you’d kill the person they’d probably most like to target with it anyway. You’d deny the Doctor that you claimed earlier exists the chance to prevent the night-kill altogether. You’d be denying the Sinners their Sinfection, but also deny anyone already Sinfected the chance to pray. If we have a Detective, as I hope, then you’d be denying his action, too. Basically, what it amounts to is you’d hurt Town without affecting Scum.
That’s a really poor idea, Meeko. You’re essentially suggesting that you nightkill yourself. Town would lose a lynch vote which edges us closer to giving the Blackhearts control.
You should give us the list some time before the Dawn, in case you die, but we shouldn’t start claiming until after Dawn, so the Blackhearts can’t use that information to plan their nightkill.
I suppose that there might be a slight advantage to wait until just before Dawn to post it, to potentially give Scum less time to decide what lies to tell, but they’re probably already planning that anyway.
I’m getting implusive in my moves here. Let me just ask this :
Would there be any drawback to asking the first player on my list to claim? It is a slippery slope, sure, but, can we get the first one in, and re-evaluate the schedule of claiming, after that ?
*Noobie Hat Question Time
Yes. If the first player to claim is a better power role than Mason, then you’ve given the Scum an appealing target. And even if e’s just vanilla, you’ve shortened the list of people for Scum to try if they don’t choose to target you. Yeah, I’m getting impatient, too, but Wednesday will come soon enough.
And I used to play Magic, but that was well over a decade ago. We didn’t have epic cards back then.
