The current second Trump administration: a compendium of horrors

I suppose the other issue is that not even the Washington Post knows what Trump’s intent is. “Dishonest, deceptive, nefarious, and criminal” is certainly a viable hypothesis, but it isn’t known the way the truth or falsehood of the statement is. Especially these days when Trump seems to be less cogent than he was even in his last term.

Yeah. Or I mean SQUIRREL!!!

Just like the way Trump ‘ran’ his businesses. You sue me, I’ll sue you right back to distract and deceive.

Trump administration imposes limits on Mexican flights

Should the EU block flights from the U.S. until we let their airlines fly into Reagan National? :grimacing:

It is very common that when a new airport is built, the government does things like this to pressure the airlines to move to the new facility.

The fact those limits went into effect several years ago and trump announced this stupidity now says all we need to know. It’s anti-Latin posturing for the white RW crowd.

In the Epstein thread I posited a couple of days ago that trump needs a big bold EO or something to break the current “all Epstein all day” feeding frenzy in RW media. IMO this is that move.

A win: A federal judge has blocked part of the Big Ugly Bill, preventing the Trump administration from cutting funding to Planned Parenthood.

Of course, taxpayer money already doesn’t pay for most abortions. Trump was blocking funding for cancer screenings and STI treatments.

One of a bunch:

New York Times: Trump Posts Fake Video Showing Obama Arrest

If Donald Trump could get Pam Bondi and Company to arrest a few of the names on Kash Patel’s enemies list, I think that would satisfy the MAGA people pushing on the Epstein front, at least for a while.

“whether it’s right or wrong, it’s time”

President Donald Trump, Press Conference, July 22, 2025

Caught doing what?

And when did the Clintons get divorced?

And exactly what did Obama get caught directly doing?

riving Presidenting while Black.

Whatever it was, it’s all on paper. There are, like, papers. Many papers.

Ex-wife of a president, wife of an ex-president, what’s the difference?

Fortunately, there was a transcript of that presser, so I could skim it without having to listen to the sound of that man’s voice. The things he says are just astonishing, so thoroughly embarrassing to America:

[Fed Chair Jerome Powell] is a numskull … he cut the rates just before the election to try and help Kamala or whoever he was trying to help. He probably didn’t know. And he’s building a building … And this guy is building this building that’s severely overrun.* And what does he need a building for? … And you know, he has these think tanks. And they build – they build buildings for people that think.

… we’re getting along with China very well … In fact, the magnets, which is a little complex piece of material, but the magnets are coming out, you know, very well.**

* Severely overrun with rats? Or overrun with DemocRats?

** As long as you don’t get them wet, which we know from previous observations from the Orange Genius is very bad for magnets.

When Trump was elected, I figured he’d start arresting political opponents at some point during his administration. He’d direct the DOJ to arrest political opponents in an effort to deflect attention from and/or to blame others for his failed policies. Interesting times we live in.

Fortunately, dogs are great judges of character, so I’m he won’t find one canine loyal enough to him to carry out illegal orders. Cats, maybe, but not dogs.

Trump is on record as saying he’d never have a dog. He said – and I swear that I’m not making this up – that a dog “would make me look foolish”.

An amusing typo on my part as I meant DOJ. I am quite embarrassed to have associated Trump with something so noble and beautiful as a canine.

A very gracious reply. :slightly_smiling_face: :+1:t4:

All the dogs who read your original post got a good laugh out of it and would now like to lick your face.

Neither would cats, really. They can’t be bothered to do what someone orders them to do. Besides, it’s naptime.

A straight answer:

Tulsi Gabbard issued a statement saying that there’s no evidence that Russia was able to hack voting machines and change votes in the 2016 election.

Nobody ever claimed that they could. However, it is well documented and bi-laterally attested that Russia used social media to meddle in the election.

But that didn’t stop Trump from leaping to this conclusion: ergo, any claims of Russian interference in 2016 were false, spurious, criminal, treasonous and Obama needs to go to jail. And let’s all stop talking about Epstein.

So making false and spurious claims about election tampering is grounds for arrest?

Tell us again about the 2020 election, Unca Donald…

No, it’s only illegal to talk about the 2016 election.
