The Cut (T. Hilfiger) -- Apprentice fans take note!

I’ve caught a few episodes and all the only conclusion I’ve come to is that Hilfiger is a boring idiot.

From the editing I knew Elizabeth and Felix were safe: all that bad-mouthing by the other team was so blatant it had to be an effort to mislead the viewers.

I’d have to go back and look at recaps, but isn’t this the first time Princess has shone at any of the challenges?

Elizabeth designed the black evening dress that won for her team, and won last episode with the flag dress, so why is everyone so convinced she is a no-talent automatic loser?

Right now, it looks like Chris is the odd’s on favorite.

I think the big problem people have with Elizabeth is that they don’t like her personality. She doesn’t always play well with others. The other problem they have isn’t a lack of talent- it’s a lack of demonstrated talent. This competition(the whole show, not last night) is the first time she’s had a real chance to showcase her ideas.

I thought the challenge was ridiculous!
I thought the clothing was ridiculous!
But I’m not unhappy with the outcome.

It’s looking like the show has been engineered to make Liz the winner. And I wonder where the Style Forum really is. Is it a set on some sound stage? Or is it really in that cool NYC building? Anybody know?

I have no clue where the stage set is located but I believe the building with the sculpture is in lower Manhattan near city hall park and the Brooklyn Bridge. I think the actual building they’re showcasing is a city administrative office. The video sculpture they lingered over looks very cool when you see it up close.

Dang, Princess sure hates Liz, doesn’t she? Yikes!

I was hoping Princess would be booted tonight – that outfit was pretty wtf – but no such luck. I think it’s possible Tommy’s just leaving her on so she and Liz can fight next week, though.

The finale is next week on Wednesday.

What was up with the black model? Did Princess want her to clomp around as if she were wearing horse shoes???
I’ve thought for a long time that Princess was being kept for ‘production values’ – she was certainly the most colorful of the characters and made for good tv.

It sort of amazes me that most of them don’t seem to picking up on TH liking the simpler, let gimmicky outfits. Liz has won three weeks with very simple, straightforward styles.

I thought Liz’s outfit was lovely. I was surprised Princess hasn’t left. Then again I’m surprised the show is still on. I can’t imagine it will last out another season. Hilfiger just doesn’t have the charisma to make compelling television.

Yeah, clearly they won’t do a second season – bummer. I find this just as interesting as The Apprentice – and I loves me some Apprentice.

I’m just glad they’re actually showing the whole season, instead of yanking it or moving it to cable (which I don’t have).

I think that’s the current trend in “strutting” on the model’s catwalk. That doesn’t mean it’s particularly attractive and I don’t know if it’s designed to make the clothes look better. It certainly is a strange sort of walk.

And I’ve thought for weeks that Liz is the class of this meager little puddle of talent. Princess is just too annoying. . . and seems to be excellent at designing for sluts. Felix’s odd little costume looked just like it was cobbled from trash. It was just plain ugly and ill fitting. And Chris’s getup looked like it was made for a slightly more tasteful slut than Princess’s. Liz seems to be the only one who understands the Hilfiger vision. Good for her!

lavenderlemon, you’re out of style!

(Didn’t that just cut you to the bone?) How can such a winning phrase like that not make it to a second season? Seriously, though, TH seems to take great fun by faking them out about what he thinks is good and not so good, and I like the way he teases them by putting them into the pit, then taking them out of the pit, then putting them back in, and all the while the other contestants are turning on whoever’s perceived to be the weakest. Great fun.

Just a reminder to my fellow fans – all three of you – that the finale (aka “The Coronation of Elizabeth”) takes place tonight.

And it’s at 7pm here in the central time zone. Not in the listings either! I suppose we just have to KNOW this!

If Liz doesn’t win this thing, there’s something wrong somewhere! I’ll be taping while I watch SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE.

:frowning: My VCR went belly-up on me the other night – I’m gonna have to skip Dance tonight. Can’t miss the Cut finale, though.:frowning:

Yeah, I have liked this show too…don’t know what I am going to do after the finale, though I did see an interesting looking promo on TV last night for a show called Made in the USA on USA…It’s where inventors compete to win a contract with the Home Shopping Network…same kind of idea with the designers, so I am sure I will love it…

All I can say is, the winner had better not be Princess. For the last two episodes, I don’t think a single sentence came out of that woman’s mouth that didn’t translate into “Liz has to go.” C’mon, girl, can’t you just brag about your own talent or something, instead of bashing the competition endlessly?

Whoops, forgot I meant to ask:

According to coworker yesterday, tonight’s finale is two hours. Anyone else heard that?

According to TVGuide.com, it’s one hour, followed by an hour of Rock Star INXS.

whoa.

Not Elizabeth! and … dammit, Tommy, just tell us … woo hoo! yay Chris!

Well, at least Princess didn’t win! I think Chris Cortez is really limited in what he can do. Liz shoulda won. But now we can go on to something else.
