I stick to my original thesis: there will be no second season. The fact that network execs switched the final episode from Friday to Wednesday without much fanfair says everything.
As for the finale the only word that comes to mind is meh.
I’ve been in the Liz camp for weeks, but those clothes were really, really boring. There is a difference between classic & restrained and same old, same old. Plus her total indecision over the fabrics… I wasn’t surprised that she was eliminated first.
On further thought, I have to agree with Tommy on this one. Elizabeth’s indecisiveness had been downplayed the last couple of weeks – but it really came to the fore this week. And I agree, her clothes were – enh. Plus, she’s not really a designer – she doesn’t work with clothes in quite the same way that Chris and Princess do. And, though Princess was a whiny bitch who I’m glad I’ll never see again, she was right on that point – it doesn’t make sense to turn over a major design project to someone who can neither sew nor draw.
It will be interesting to see what kind of play Chris’s line – whatever it is – gets, if and when it makes its public debut.
And lavenderlemon – I don’t think anyone’s disagreeing that this will be a one-time-only series – and that’s fine, The Apprentice has had some seriously second-rate seasons. I did, however, really enjoy watching this season on its own terms.
