:pThere is something fitting about sheep being popular in Iceland.
it is a good thing Worm didn;t ask for another city in Iceland besides its capital. I would have had to pass.
I think Rebo needs a trip to Iceland.
Worm, what is the most popular sport in Iceland?
So, Worm, what is the real population, and date of independence, and so on?
#'s 1, 2, and 6
We ain’t no Scotsmen though
Football (the proper kind), has the most followers with handball being a close second. But I actually think golf has the most active players.
Population: 300k
First inhabited by Vikings: 850.s
Dominant nature: Sand, mountains and lava fields (but in a pretty way)
Most common farm animal: Sheep
Date of independence: June 17. 1944 (self rule in 1918)
From Denmark (who got Iceland and Norway in a package deal, but then kept it when Norway became Swedish)
Thor Heyerdahl is Norwegian, but the others were all Icelandic citizens (including Fisher).
We have all of the mentioned natural phenomenoms, even passes in the mountains
The capital is indeed Reykjavik
And no, Polar Bears are not native to Iceland (but they do float ashore from time to time and then they get shot )
And hey! This is probably the best I’ve ever placed! WOHOOOOOOO!
::uses the pie catapult to shoot at all the lowlifes below me::
Hooray!
Top 10!
Congrats on the perfect score, Mad.
Thanks for the feud Worm.
I know it’s a Feud and all, but only on the Dope would an actual living resident come in 14th in a quiz about his own country! :dubious:
That’s because the truth matters not in the enigma that is the Feud…
Perfect score in an Iceland Feud. The authorities must be notified. The Icelander came in 14th. If he could not get a perfect score then we should start paying off at 15.
Besides an Englishman came in last in his feud. Worm wiggled up a lot higher.
This is my highest score yet, but I feel guilty. No googling, but my history/geography geeky boyfriend was home and fed me at least 7 answers.
I knew Bjork, tundra, sheep and a mangled spelling of Reykjavik all on my own, though.
