Stupid dyslexia. I had a serious WTF moment for a second there.

I thought he walked the line really well of pissing on the show while only making fun of the person. I’ll admit it wasn’t funny the entire time, but little bits here and there were great.
The one I really liked was him erasing parts of the Bible to make it say that Beck was Jesus, and then telling you to go look it up. It sounded like something that would be said by the biblical conspiracy theorist who works with my dad.
It was too long. But I loved his line about how Glenn Beck isn’t exactly Paul Revere.
It was a tad too long, but just enough that there really wasn’t time for another bit. I think it was brilliant.
Could you give a summary about this? I know I can look it up, but I am not familiar with this event.
Byron Williams is a guy that got into a shootout with Oakland (CA) police last summer after he was pulled over on his way into San Francisco.
He was on his way into town to shoot up the ACLU office and an environmental group that Beck has been recently bashing. I believe he said in interviews that Beck had made him aware of the danger they posed.
But he was hardly a clear headed guy before listening to Beck. He had a history of issues and was on parole for bank robbery.
Parts of it kept cutting away-but Comedy Central has has many problems with it’s Daily Show/Colbert Flash episodes.
I didn’t like the episode. I find Jon doing a Beck impersonation boring. I would have rather him cover something/anything else that’s going on in the world right now. I know the show not just about the news, but how the news is covered… but like I said, I just find it boring.
Edit.
Maybe it’s just because I don’t watch Beck. I’ve seen his show a few times, and know about the rally. But have no idea what he’s been up to lately and don’t care. Sure I hope he gets fired, but…
I think it’s fair to make fun of him, but I think Beck is a mental case. Even if he doesn’t buy his own bullshit, there’s still a grandiose delusion. ![]()
He was going to fuck our *ears *with the truth.
The episodes are back on Hulu, I’m watching them there.
I thought it was a great send-up, but also a tribute of sorts to Beck’s ability to bring the crazy over the past couple of years.
