Where’s Jon Stewart been lately? Filming a movie? They still have his name in the opening credits, and he interviewed JLH (mrowr) yesterday, but he hasn’t hosted for a while now. Why are the second stringers hosting? Nancy Walls, Steve Carell and Stephen Colbert are all very, very funny, but they are truly NOT anchor material. If any of them are, it’s Vance Degeneres.
Anyway, where’s Jon been? The show is almost unwatchable without him. The “patter” between Steve and Nancy is unbearable.

On a totally unrelated note, Mo Rocca made an appearance on Fox News tonight. That was a sobering experience.

I’ve only had a chance to watch it about twice a week the last month, and I’d noticed he was missing the majority of the time.
What the hell are they doing this for? Drive DOWN ratings?

To make matters worse, they keep running new promos for the Daily Show which are full of accolades for Jon. Why bother to tout the star of the show (and get my hopes up that Jon has returned) when the star isn’t there?
I know he’s scheduled for a stand-up appearance in Atlanta. So maybe he’s working a tour into his schedule?
He’s also been at fat camp.
The interview you saw was previously recorded. It’s not like he came back to do it. I’m curious myself. They did this a month or two ago, and he came back for a while, but now he’s gone again.
Jon will be in two movies this year: Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, and Death to Smoochy. From the looks of things, he only makes a cameo in the Kevin Smith movie, but he is in the first billed cast of the Danny DeVito/Robin Williams film.
I figured he was filming. Thanks for backin that up.
