The "Dallas" Movie

I’m surprised MAS*H hasn’t been remade yet. I know, it was originally a movie, but I’m sure if they remade it, it would be drawn more from the TV series. The political climate now seems right for it.

Are the Wayans brothers still going to do a Munsters movie? The only way I can see that working is if they get Jim Carrey to play Herman.

Rubberface as Herman? That ain’t right. He’s too short and Herman isn’t supposed to be flexible.

They need somoene like Michael Clarke Duncan.

Nah. They should get Ron Jeremy to play Herman and retitle it The C*ntsters.

Herman: Uh! Uh! Uh! Uh!
Lily: Yeah, baby! Yeah, baby! OHHHH …
Morticia: Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes!
Gomez: Say it in French, bitch!

(uh, well, yeah, it’s a 4-way between The Munsters and the Addams Family. The heck did you expect?)

Mission: Impossible.
Lost in Space
Untouchables
Star Trek
The Fugitive
Avengers (arguably)

There have been quite a few others. There have been more cornball comedies because most of the originals were comedies, or at least seriosuly tongue in cheek. “Dukes of Hazard”, “I Spy” and so forth were all semi-cmedies to begin with. Even “Dallas”, with its 5 year dream sequence, was hardly taking itself seriously by the end.
There may be some worth in considering making these things as serious movies but chances are it would already have been done at the time the originals were propular if that were viable.
