It was made famous by the filming of the last episode of The Sopranos. I’ve had ice-cream there. It was good.
(Yes, Applegate’s is good too… but they were different experiences. Applegate’s was a drive up. You almost expected waitresses on roller-skates. Holsten’s had wood booths… Maple I think. )

Are you saying it’s closed? If so, I see no mentions about it on Twitter, Google, Facebook, Reddit, Yelp, local media sites or their own homepage. Or what am I missing?
There’s a NJ.com list of restaurants we “can’t afford to lose” due to COVID, because they’re too legendary. Holsten’s is on the list but hasn’t said they’re closing, at least not yet.
