The Democratic National Convention

To be honest, he seemed like someone dragging the "thank-you"s out longer than necessary.

Ah, I see that we’re electing the President in 2024 based on one speech given in 2016. Par for the course these days I guess.

Your desperation is showing.

We know Bernie. Dontcha think you oughta endorse someone?

He wants to wait until after the delegate count later in the week.

OK, didn’t hear more than a few boos after he said “Hillary”. Mission accomplished.

Less than a minute later, and you are wrong.

She brought Bernie on board, she kept Bernie on board, Bernie goes out and supports HRC when the DNC, his supporters, (and Ted Cruz), have given him reason not to.

How Hillary handled Bernie and brought him into the fold is one of the great diplomatic accomplishments of this divisive year and shows her ability to work with people considered her opposition.

Definitely one of her strong points.

OK, so now we’re moving on to the pipe dreams that HRC will never get through Congress (free college!!).

The Bern is handing out free stuff again.

OK, Bernie, we heard you. Now you’re eating into The Bachelorette. We need to know what Jo-Jo is going to do!!!

I personally did not think that Corey’s speech was all that. A good crescendo, but 3/4 of it was pretty much a flat-liner (and I’m a democrat). Warren was better. Bernie was definitely better. Missed Michelle but heard she was the bomb, which I don’t doubt (I’m a big Michelle O fan).

I’m okay with it. Let Bernie be Bernie – he’s earned it.

And I’ve gotten into some nasty scraps with some Bernie Bros on this board so I don’t say that lightly.

Well, now he’s bringing up turning the Congressional races as well and that he will work towards that.

Good to see Bernie actually acknowledge the fight Hillary fought for universal healthcare (and also the consequences she suffered from it). I have to say, I’m impressed with the Bernster. He did everything that coulda been asked of him. Nothing untoward or unfair. Even the roll call, procedural, no probs.

Bernie gets a B for that. A solid endorsement for HRC but too much of his stump speech with the phrase “Hillary understands” inserted.

Igor Volsky just tweeted this gem:

I’m glad Bernie stressed the consequences of Supreme Court appointments. I was surprised that hadn’t been mentioned by previous speakers.

God is completely bored of this endless prayer.
