The Democratic National Convention

Michelle Obama is killing this speech.

Yeah that was wow.

Sarah killed. Michelle massacred.

I remember Melania using the words “We”, “go” and “have”.
Sad.

Terrific speech from the First Lady.

Michelle should do standup comedy when she’s out of the White House. She gave a very strong speech. Came off sincere, whereas I could hear the dislike from Bob Casey Jr (over the feud between the Clintons and his pop). Also think the Trump University video and the disabled girl were very powerful. I do wonder tho how the emphasis on identity politics might affect the polls. But so far, they’re doing what they need to be doing.

Michelle Obama killed it. Even Bill Clinton was impressed.

(Although would it have killed her when she was talking about her speech 8 years ago to just throw in the phrase “it’s almost like it was just last week”? Darn her for being classy).

Absolutely. Wow.

Booker got things back on track. The “not just tolerance but love” theme was good.
The segment against Trump U. and its predation on vulnerable customers was one people could agree on.
The theme of “this country is already great” is getting repeated, that’s good.
Michelle brought in the feels, tied in the idea that this is about the future, heartily advocated Clinton and delivered strong before the public (hey, Michelle… wanna run for Senate next time a seat opens? ).

Warren coming up, the Left is to close the night that’s running long.

I wouldn’t be surprised if she sympathizes with Melania and her position as wife to a Presidential candidate to some extent.

What were they chanting during Warren’s speech?

“they” sounded like “two guys in unison”, so I guess that meets the minimum requirement for the plural.

The Orange One disagrees with you:

“If Cory Booker is the future of the Democratic Party, they have no future! I know more about Cory than he knows about himself.”
Fuck you, Cheetoboy, …*we will rise. *

I was wondering the same…“we want you?” No idea.

We trusted you.

Warren’s speech is a bit disappointing though.

hard to see how she could’ve outdone Michelle. She woulda been better after Booker (he wasn’t that good).

I was thinking the same thing at first, but it was really the right call to take the high road.

Pocahontas.

Trump’s nickname for her. I have a full blood Indian great grandmother. I’d never use that to grab a spot at a prestigious college. A real native American deserves that place. Not me.

When she’s not making a specific point, Warren can slip back into sounding like a professor. She’s only been a political figure for a few years.
