Coaster!

Well mr ems was very nice and told me he would do all the mowing as he was already hot and sweaty (man it is humid here today!). So I cleaned the house which was a better deal even if it did include scrubbing toilets as at least I got to do it in the AC! Both bathrooms are clean both toilets scrubbed shower stall scrubbed mirrors are clean, everywhere is dusted including all the blinds, kitchen is scrubbed and new dishes put away, bath mats and entry mats are washed and the dryer just pinged to say they were dry, bathrobes washed and hung back up, shoes all put away, vacuumed whole house and steam mopped the tile floors, kitchen doors washed down, 17 bajillion loads of laundry including towels folded and put away. Oh and I made lunch which we just ate. Mr ems has showered and is snoozing in the chair. I am going to hit the shower in a few minutes as well.
An executive decision has been made of going out for tonight as we are both pooped!
I need a nap!
And at last I’m caught up.
Weird pet stories, hmmmmmmmmm… Like Taz only wanting to sit with/on me while I’m knitting and only wanting to sit across the yarn I’m trying to knit. That’s really not weird - that’s just cat.
Ziva is the weird one. She’s afraid of everyone, even tho no one has ever been mean to her here. She’s lived with us almost 4 years and this morning was the FIRST time she actually approached **FCD **to get skritches. The inlaws are here - the sweetest, gentlest people you’d ever want to meet, and she refuses to go near either one of them. I’m willing to bet that as I write this, she’s on the floor between my side of the bed and the wall, perhaps half under the drapes.
Most of the cruise laundry is done for us and the inlaws, so yay! There’s a meatloaf in the oven and we’ll have it with salad, pierogis fried with onions and some sort of green veggie.
Today, I delivered 2 big bags of fingerless mitts to the store, plus I set up the display. Deb told me they’ll probably go on sale in a couple of weeks. I walked around the store and hardly any of my SofTrivets have sold - oh well…
That’s all for now. There’s no place like home…
And {{{elfkin}}}
Congrats, mmmmmmmmmmmmm!
Partayin’ is done. A good time was had by all. Good friends, good food, good adult beverages. It threatened to rain around five o’clock. To the southwest the sky was all blue/black and I thought for sure there’d be a boomer but it cleared up quick. Anywho, everyone’s gone and the kitchen is all tidied. Time to chillax post partay.
No party here, but salmon is poaching for dinner.
My party starts when the next Doctor Who starts tonight.
Much like a Dalek, I have exterminated the MMP.
Evening! We went out for a steak dinner which was fab! Now we are home (I am in my Jammie’s) watching the OU football game on TV and drinking wine.
Life is good today.
It’s alive! ALIVE!
Hurricane is good. And with 260% of the RDA of Vitamin C, I won’t die of scurvy tonight.
What’d you think of it, doggio? DId you watch the Pond Life mini web series this week?
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 74 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 90 and a chance of rain. Since I foresee this afternoon involvin’ defilthyfyin’ of da cave I say let it rain.
I have ‘nanner puddin’, coleslaw and a gallon each of sweet and unsweet tea all ready to take to the church house for brunch. Go Me! I feel so organized. I figure that’s stuff that will make both Lutherans and Episcopalians happy.
Now I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Then I shall commence purtification for deheathenization. I said I’d go early today to assist in makin’ sure everything is set up for all the doin’s this mornin’. Why do I do that! Oh well…
Happy Sunday Y’all!
Good morning! It rained a bit overnight, and we might get some more later today - hope so!!
Yesterday, FCD, his dad, and our daughter drove to the Silver Springs area to buy a small lathe. A company had bought it years ago for a project that fizzled out and it’s been sitting ever since. Many of the accessories have never been unwrapped. **FCD **looked on line and everything he got is worth over $2200 - he got it all for $750. I’d say that’s a good deal. I helped him unload it last night, and it looks like a brand new machine. I expect he and his did will assemble it today.
This evening, we’re taking the daughter-person to the Japanese steak house for a slightly early birthday dinner. Her b-day is Weds, but her grandparents will be gone by then, so we’re doing it tonight. I can’t wait - I lurves me this particular place!
And sometime today, I’ll throw together tomorrow’s MMP. Gotta upload the coupla photos I took, too. I’m not exaggerating - I don’t think I took a dozen. So don’t worry about being bored to death.
Happy Sunday!
Ah - a few moments of solitude. **FCD **and his folks are going into Leonardtown. The house is mine. Huzzah! I’m so tired of hearing the same stories over and over about relatives and neighbors I don’t know and will never know, since most are now dead… Blessed solitude… bliss
I liked it, interesting twist at the end. I haven’t seen Pond Life, but I’ve got it bookmarked for today.
Up and caffeinated, gonna clean and relax.
as I understand it - she’s the new companion - but I have no idea how that’s going to work.
CONFIRM: KITTENS ARE A GO!
REPEAT: KITTENS ARE A GO!
I will be picking them up after church today. I have the basic setup at home, and I suspect between putting things away, bagging up trash, and generally organizing from the move (which took three hours and was only strenuous because of the heat), I will spend my day taking kitty pictures and deciding upon names.
I may start tomorrow’s MMP late tonight with the “New Kitty Overlords/Labor Day MMP”.
In her current state, she could at least unclog all the toilets in the TARDIS.
Maybe she hacks into the nanobot cloud, and rebuilds herself.
Kanga, sorry, I’ve already claimed tomorrow!
You’ll just have to hijack away with your kitteh pics!
I think it’s a safe bet that the nanobot cloud was destroyed when the Daleks blew up the Asylum
