I’ve been busy this week so I haven’t been keeping up. However, something of note happened. I got work-married yesterday. Big Boss announced I’m his new work wife since Mama Bear left last year. They apparently missed me while I was on vacation. :D:D
Friday! Weekend! Wheee!!! /hugs and cookies and giggles and squees all around. Blurf. Coffeetime! p.s. I have javascript turned off due to…whatever it is that’s going around…so to me, my formatting doesn’t stick when I post. It’s all one jumbled lump. And for that I apologize. I have more manners than that, I promise!
Hi, Honeys, I’m home!!! Got a lot of catching up to do, but I wanted to let you all know that I’m safely ashore, because I know you worried. I’ll take Monday if no one else has claimed it. Meanwhile, I’ve got stuff to do. Laterz!!!
Okay, so if you’re interested, thisis a slideshow of last night’s Quartet Night performances. I don’t have videos, because it would have used up the camera’s battery too quickly.
Rosie, thanks for sharing the slideshow - it looks like a really great show! Love that gold lame top, btw - you look great in it.
It is FIRDAY, and welcome back to FCM! I am looking forward to tales of the cruise. Do you have any pet tales for us first, though?
Don’t have anything new going on here - weather is beautiful though a bit hot (low 90s); no humidity though. Also no rain, which we need.
Oh, my nephew (I only have one! LOL) has a big ole german sheperd who howls when certain tones are played, like the door bell sound! Poor Behr, he’s really big ears and I guess they are very sensitive as well. I call him rabbit ears, that’s how big they are!
Dindin is meatloaf beatloaf double shmeatlof courtesy of the local store which makes it on premises. Then I will park my butt in the chair and commence reading the book I bought at the bookstore (hey, I’m a liberrian, I don’t buy books) and read the night away. Maybe I’ll have popcorn too.
How is it that when a pharmacy goofs, it never seems to be trivial. About 15 years ago, a pharmacy gave me a bottle of 500  pills of a drug that would have had a significant err, resale value, and it wasn’t even a drug that I was taking. Yesterday, a different pharmacy managed to split up a new prescription so Drug A went to one location and Drug B went somewhere else on the other side of town. They were just as puzzled as I was that the computer could slice and dice one prescription like that.
That was just a warm-up for the moment of insanity at the grocery store. There’s usually a nice linear action at the checkout - you roll your cart up to the checkstand, the cashier scans your stuff and it goes to the bagger or at least it goes to the bagging area, and you take your food. Then they scan and bag the next person’s food.
A guy comes back from outside pushing a cart and says “this isn’t my stuff” which leads to the question - where is his stuff? The confusion was contagious as when I got to the parking lot, one of my bags was missing. I go back in and find my bag. Hopefully by now, they’ve got it all sorted or there will be some surprises for dinner in the neighborhood.
gotti they shouldn’t go messin’ with the groceries.
Pizza is et. Coleslaw, corn sallit and ‘nanner puddin’ are made. Baked beans and the boston <snerk> butt <snerk> are thawin’ in the fridge. What? Last time I made baked beans I froze a batch cause they freeze well. Tomorrow the <snerk> butt <snerk> will hang out in the slow cooker whilst pool time is had. All that will need doin’ is pullin’ the <snerk> butt <snerk> apart, heatin’ the beans and toastin’ up the bread. Good eats!
Oh, most important of all, beerverages are chillin’.
