(image is work safe, but if you’ve seen Goatse you will recognize it)

Someone is going to be in trouble when they figure this one out!

Uh. Wow. This is almost not safe for work.

hahaha

Bwahhhhh! That’s great! Somebody is soooooooo fired when the folks at Dremel find out. (Psst! Nobody tell 'em!)

Oh man that’s funny.

Hmm. Link won’t work for me. Think they fixed the picture?

Works for me. That’s got to be a deliberate prank, surely!

Every time you click on one of their “tools” categories, you get to a page with this picture!

That is not right!

At first I thought it was a fake url made to look like it’s a Dremel site, but you can get here from the Dremel main page. Oh, someone’s sooo fired!

Maybe the site was hacked?

I tried clicking it again and it worked. Hmm.

Oh. Lol.

I thought I could get through my life without ever seeing Goatse. Thanks.

I don’t know if I meant that or not though…

This is just a WAG–maybe it’s deliberate–a sort of internet viral marketing, just for today (Halloween).

The number of people visiting the Dremel site just for this today must be extraordinary. It’s a laugh for anyone who gets the reference but wouldn’t offend people who don’t know what goatse is.

Well, it might offend people… I mean, the pumpkin’s pulling his BUMHOLE open!!

Oh man, I love pranks like this.

I bet whoever posted or approved this simply thought it was supposed to be a monster or whatever pulling open its own face.

This is classic.

It does look kind of like a Cacodemon.

It must be hacked. The image links to http://sam.zoy.org/fun/goatse/pumpkin.jpg – definitely not a Dremel site. The guy has an entire section of his page devoted to goatse.

Yeah, subjectively, to you, it reminds you of pulling a bumhole in (see: thread title), but why would someone who doesn’t know about same think that’s what it is? It’s not as though a bum is the only thing that could be representative of, and pumpkins aren’t (to my knowledge) usually particularly associated with bumholes.

I went to the Dremel homepage and clicked on Pumpkin Carving kit and the pic is there, so I don’t think it’s a hack.

Yeah, I think VERY few people not familiar with the “source material” would see that and think it’s a butthole. It would be quite a stretch (heh).

Yeah, I tried looking at it from the perspective of someone who has not seen goatse, and it just looked like some weird carving.

Heh, totally cool though.
