Being for the benefit of several Gentlemen and Ladies of society &c.
My Lords, Ladies and Gentlemen. For your edification and delectation, in just a few seconds’ time, the Great Jimbo shall now attempt to perform a near-impossible feat. They said it couldn’t be done. Today he intends to prove them wrong…
Without safety net or protective clothing, the Great Jimbo will attempt to post to the SDMB while drinking from a can of beer.
Could I please ask for complete silence from the audience. I ask all patrons to restrain their children and servants during this very dangerous feat.
Drums please.
Oh, and he’s done it! A remarkable performance, using, as you will see, the “Heineken” brand of beer.
My Lords, Ladies and Gentlemen, today you have witnessed something truly unique and remarkable. From this day onwards, you will be able to look your peers in the eye and say: “I was there”.
This is all very well on a Sunday evening. I’d be more impressed if you managed it again tomorrow morning.
Gewurztraminer myself. Dinner’s on the table; must rush.
It’s August Bank Holiday in Ireland tomorrow so nya nya nya.
That said I had better take it easy since I have to drive to Co. Clare tomorrow.
While I love Guinness, it has a somewhat unfortunate effect on the bowels. It’s also a meal in itself, and I prefer something a bit lighter to accompany the pizza I’m about to eat.
In my downstairs fridge is a keg of ESB. When I’m done with that, there will be a German Alt. When I’m done with that…a Belgian Trippel for the cold winter (making that this week)
Homebrew…yum! ( the beer, not the poster…although I’m sure he’s a cool dude )
And I agree with jjimm, Guinness, while good stuff, is the beer that eats like a meal, you need to prepare for a night o’guinness, it’s not a casual type beer.
And hey beagledave , I see I’m only a couple hours away. With beers like that, I may be raidin’ your fridge, so don’t mind the noise.
It’s Sunday. I live where you can’t buy beer at the grocery store, and most of the state stores and six-pack places are closed on Sunday. No beer for me.
