I was never quite clear on what happy Orthodox Jewish guy was supposed to convey.
It was normally only used lightheartedly in threads about Judaism. And Space Invaders. Or Jewish Space Invaders lizard people.
Actually I think the Happy Orthodox Jewish smiley was mostly used in threads wondering what the purpose of the Happy Orthodox Jewish smiley was for.
It was like meta, man.

…but then it really doesn’t work for “guess what we were doing when the kids walked in :o” (except for the alternate meanings for that smiley above, so I guess it could work in the right circumstances)

I’m kind of the opposite. The :rolleyes: provokes that reaction in me. Though I try not to use them for the most part.
That’s probably why : putz : was retired. It was seldom used for anything but to give a backhanded insult, to be able to call someone a putz then give a winkie at the end like that will make it all okay.
