The Early Worm Gets the Bird -- an East of Greenwich MMP

Do I have one? A Halloween name?
ETA: Nope : pouts :

Here’s where the Halloween names were chosen.

We went to Salsa’s for supper. Now we’re home and the blinds are drawn. Hope any kids in the area take the hint…

Where in the Keys? I’ll bring cookies.

I work in Key West but live on Big Pine key. What kind of cookies ya got?

Had me worried there for a minute.

The stress level here right now is unbelievably ridiculous. I don’t know why I’m even trying to study.

If you’re taking boarders for cookies, what kind do you want?

Finally.

Meowing houseguest’s lungs and input/output are quite healthy. Now running a rush load of laundry to deal with said output (including the pants that got peed on while I was wearing them). May need to wash the sofa cushion covers. I can definitely highly recommend Home Reserve’s Pet Care line of fabrics. That stuff is nearly impervious to spills.

Established cat (Queen Allie) has spent a significant portion of the day on the bed instead of under it, and seems to want more snuggles with trying-to-sleep human than usual. She’s a full-grown cat (we think she’s a Snowshoe Siamese), the kitten is about four or five weeks old, and Her Majesty is afraid of the little visitor, it would seem.

As of not quite 5pm, no trick-or-treaters yet, and I live in an apartment building with a fair number of kids in residence. Hoping we get some, since my 32-cup mixing bowl is overflowing with candy for them.

I’d join you, but my hips are giving me a lot of grief today (weather shift and arthritis are not a good mix).

most of the tricker treaters so far have been over 13. WTF? LOL

OMG, I either have some serious gas or the baby is moving! Squee!
I’d join you too Seaney but I tweaked my bad ankle today on a Hot Wheels car. Haha

Are there any physicians in the MMP?
I’ve heard the you undergo a larger pressure change riding an elevator in a skyscraper that enduring a weather change. If internal temperature were a factor, one would have serious problems varying from 98.6 or 96.8, whatever it is.
I’ve speculated that cold weather causes one to shiver, which may affect joints.

Irked, came home, chatted with Hockey Lady. We’ve set up a 1st live meet(At a hockey game, of course[FireAntz vs. Riverhawks.]:D)

Hey, I can be sleazy, too!

OMFGPonies! rosie!!!

For Key West, any kind ya want!

Yay for kickin’ kidlets, Apes!

{{{{sticks}}}}

Yay for non painfull knee, sahir

Hooray! We, of course, demand all the details. With a live feed from a webcam or skyping phone, if possible.

Hi rosie!
Too lazy to do anything for Halloween this year. It’s just not the same when you’re outside of the US. I miss Chicago. :frowning:

I second Sticky’s demand, doggio. I’m sure she won’t mind if you bring a few imaginary friends alomg when you meet.

Glad things are OK, rosie.

Work has been crazy busy and I’m still finishing getting over the lovely laryngitis/cold combination. Wish I could completely stop coughing already.

We had about 50 kids of assorted sizes, with a surprisingly high proportion of good manners. I was pleased.

Should be asleep by now… guess I’ll go,work on that.

Hugs all. I know I missed lots.

GT

There’s always the Game feed She’s already pick out some upper deck seats.

Welcome back, gt!

Around here, nobody trick or treats on Halloween unless it’s a Saturday. The 4 towns tend to split up the days, either Saturday or Sunday, and…I guess that’s it. I wouldn’t have really believed it worked that way completely except that tonight I had the front door open and the front porch light on <due to chasing down devil-dog and cats> and itw as that way for 2 hours. After dinner. And not a single person came by. And we’re in a house. In a neighborhood with kids.

WTF?

Good thing they DIDNT come by, as all I’d have had to give away are my precious Lindor balls. My preciouses~~!!!

Up, caffeinated, off to irk. Laundry and chat afterwards.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN 'Tis a cool but calm 47 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 74. Nice weather. No need for heat or a/c. AHHHHH!!!

Apes yay for kickin’ baby!

doggio I pronounce Special1 and you the Mumper Sleaze Kings.

I need more caffiene and of course, rumbly tummy is demandin’ to be fed. Then, alas, irk purtification must commence. Woe is me.

Happy Thursday Y’all!

Good morning! I weep for our “news” sources. I went to CNN’s page this morning only to see a link to an artical on what the cast of *Jersey Shore *thinks about the hurricane. Seriously???

Interestingly busy day ahead. **FCD **wants me to start working on a structural stress analysis report. I’ve never done stress analysis, and the one class I had on it a couple of decades ago left me more confused than anything. But I’m using an old report as a template/guide, so I may figure it out. And it’s for a very small installation - the component weighs less than 2#, so it’s not like it’ll be a huge worry. So we shall see…

That’s all I’ve got. Another day in paradise. Happy Thursday!
