Just when I think it’s safe to pick up the phone again, I get a junk call from some outfit called “Opinionology” wanting to speak to “a male registered voter”. There may have been other traits the caller was seeking in a survey soulmate, but that’s all he got out before I hung up on him.
Two seconds later, the phone rang again. Same hive, different drone. I hung up and then kept the phone off the hook long enough to log on to the Verizon web site and add their incoming number to my blocked list.
If they want my opinion, they can try reading it in their own entrails.
I have been blissfully call-free since the election. I had most of them blocked, but a few new ones were still slipping through. But at least they’re gone for now.
