The ending credit scene of early Beverly Hillbillies shows. Changed in syndication?

I have been enjoying old Beverly Hillbillies episodes on channel 55 in Houston. They just started back with the first year. The original episode ending has the Clampetts (mistaking the mansion for a jail) running away from the mansion, down the street, over hedges, while the closing credits are displayed.

In the early episodes, I remember looking forward to Jed, Jethro, Ellie-May, Granny, and Aunt Pearl coming out of the Mansion doors up very close to the camera and waiving like banshees. Granny is noticeably straining to keep her hand up and waiving, and her face gets more and more strained. I never noticed it until college, back in the 80’s, laughing uncontrollably upon noticing.

In the later episodes There is a wider angle, showing the Hillbillies (minus aunt Pearl), opening the door, walking up and waving goodby. Granny is allowed to change hands.

Just today, I was watching the second episode, where they actually get to see the inside of the mansion. Miss Jane mistakes them for the wait staff. I was giddy with anticipation in once again watching the closing credits where Granny strains to keep the hand up, but was disappointed when they showed the wide angle closing scene sans Aunt Pearl.

Is there something up with that, or was the Granny straining goodbye closing just a sometime early ending episode thing, like them running away on #1?

In most of the first season’s eps, Cousin Pearl does not appear in the closing credits. There was a story arc in the mid-season in which she comes out and spends some time with the Clampetts (wherein she and Granny have an ongoing feud about control over the kitchen, and disagree on just about everything), and in those she does appear in the closing credits. I doubt that she appeared in any after the first season.
