Joseph Farah, a writer for worldnetdaily, exclaims the inevitable start of WWIII in his column ‘between the lines’.
This is only my second time posting on the SDMB, and I am hoping that all of you can contribute to this topic with your comments. Do you agree with Warren Buffet…is a nuclear attack / event likely to happen on U.S. soil in the near future. (see article)
What are your thoughts on a U.S. attack on IRAQ and the ramifications of such?
These are questions we all ask ourselves, but to what degree should we concern ourselves with them?
Here is the article. I don’t know the validity / accuracy of the information, but it sure made me think, as I hope it will you.
As a columnist for worldnetdaily, Farrar probably believes the biblical book of Revelation to be an accurate, inevitable vision of the future. I’d take anything from that source with a big bucket of salt.
Looks like the server got slashdotted. Pity. I was waiting for another Christian Doomsday Rant.
[CDR]And you know the Salvation Army? Blasphemy! BLASPHEMY! No one can save you but the Southern Baptist Church of Jesus God All-Righty! The Salvation Army is the Tool of the Devil on Earth! They hand out soup and hellfire, wrapping blankets around the damned! Where do you see the Salvation Army? In places where the devil is! Tornado-stricken areas! Flood zones! Undoing God’s Holy Work of Destruction and Taking Up Arms Against the Almighty! They are an Army, after all. An Army of Satan’s Impudence! The Salvation Army is EEE-VIL and will cause Doomsday by their impudence! God will Strike Them Down with a calamaty they cannot answer back from![/CDR]
It appeared to be a right-wing, highly conservative website. However, the action in question is whether or not we should invade Iraq and topple Sadam’s regime.
Also… realistically, can we expect a nuclear attack on America. Being ignorant to the possibilities is not going to make the problem we face go away - indifference is one of our worst enemies.
American’s have been too apathetic… we might as well admit that there is a tendancy to get carried away with our lives, doing what Americans do, and grow apathetic to foreign affairs, such as the developement and proliferation of nuclear arms.
I would like to remain ignorant to the possibilities of a nuclear strike; however, I agree with Buffet. A nuclear strike on America is quite possible.
Same goes for an Iraqi invasion, it is quite possible… to attack or not to attack. Farrahkan himself said that an attack on Iraq would be an attack on God himself.
