Please elaborate on:

History of

Care and feeding of

“Hand me the conch” is from Lord of the Flies isn’t it?

Conch is when something gets an overwhelming number of answers. It comes from a feud where a question was “Name a type of shell” and pretty much everyone said “conch,” whereas a slightly greater variety might have been expected. So, everyone saying “Tommy” is a conch. Although not too unexpected. The only other one I can think of right off the top of my head is “Spring Awakening” and I wasn’t sure how many others would choose that, so I went with “Tommy.”
