The final show aside, what was the absolute worst thing any of the Seinfeld crew did?

I suppose it isn’t - but as somebody else said it’s the intent behind it. Kramer didn’t mean to vomit on Susan or burn down her cabin, but George purposely put that lobster in the eggs, and it strikes me as the meanest pre-meditated thing any of them ever did.

Oh, he cared. He cared that he was suddenly free.

And the reason this scene sticks with me is that Jason Alexander had to communicate shock, horror and relief … and guilt for being relieved … all in one long reaction.

IIRC he tried. The girls werent buying it.

I too found George’s lobster in eggs tactical response to be in reasonable proportion to the woman apparently telling his love interest he had a small dick, causing her to bail on the romantic weekend.

That was crude of her to do. It was crude of him to do. She aint gonna die eating lobster. He wasnt gonna die not getting laid that weekend. But, emotionally, a fair tit for tat trade IMO.

There are a lot of bad things that the Seinfeld gang did (except lobster in the eggs; Jerry’s girlfriend absolutely had that coming), but most of them were hilarious! Even Susan’s death and the reaction thereto, probably the worst in my book, are really funny (to me, at least). And I actually liked Susan – she seemed to be about the most real character on the show, and who could forget her mocking George after he suggests he wants a prenup? Good stuff!

Man, I just really love this show, I guess.

The first show, the last show and everything in between. I f-in’ HATE Seinfield.

That was hilarious–the pre nup thing.

What about George using man hand’s picture and passing it off as Susan for sympathy to get dates with hot models? OK, maybe not the WORST but it’s so crass it deserves a mention. Jerry going through man hand’s purse was pretty bad, too. Not as bad as stealing the marble rye, but the idea of someone going through your bag just seems…verboten.

Actually, Jerry had a nightmare about being busted for illegal cable, so he told the guy he DIDN’T want the him to install the illegal cable. Then the guy asked for even more money, which Jerry wouldn’t pay, so he kicked the TV.

Anyway… worst thing I can remember them doing… either giving the girl what turns out to be a defective wheelchair to save a few bucks or the time George had an affair with a married woman.

IIRC, he put on a shirt that was too small and said something like ‘Look at how this shirt shrunk.’ He should have just said “The cold water made my dick shrink. You don’t believe me?? Well look at this!”

Why would Susan want to marry a little putz like George? A question for the ages…I think it was a snide writer who came up with it. To show that in NYC ANY single man who had a job, had no kids or ex-wife to send money to, was not an alcoholic or a druggie, and was straight was a real prize to be snapped up by any one of the hordes of women looking for the same. The fact that she was rich and George lost out on that was a twist of the knife in George’s back, ha-ha!

I’ve said this before, but Kramer being arrested, suspected of being a serial killer when they were in California was in poor taste. Not that Kramer did anything wrong (though he looks like a demented psychopath). But this show is a comedy and it seemed so out of place. Like - murdered women are such a mundane everyday occurrence, just part of life in L.A., let’s get the cast involved in that! Ha-ha! There’s so much else that could have been Seinfeld-ized, but maybe Jerry Seinfeld didn’t want to offend any of his celebrity friends.
