The First 1.5 Weeks of College for this Naive Jewish Boy

Well, I finally got my computer set up and running. Rather than reading posts and for the most part lurking, I decided to write a little thing about my brief time in my new college.

My college is a relativly well-respeceted school in the south. Beautiful campus. This week and a half has been perhaps the craziest of my life.

I have not slept around. Before coming I promised myself I would never hook up with a drunk girl, and those have been the only girls who have hit on me (oy!).

My time seems relativly tame compared to most people. No real partying, clubbing, or even drinking/smoking in dorm rooms. Yet I have also stayed up till round 3/4ish every night. Made tons of new friends. Had the time of my life.

Last night I had a deep conversation (why do the deepest conversations always happen very late at night?) with some friends about the hookup/girlfriend decision all must make upon entering college. Then some drunk girls came in and hung all over us. And (luckily) they all made it back to their own rooms safely.

I’m kind of just rambling on now (well, it is MPSIMS…) cause i just woke up, and I’m a little drowsy. Hopefully later I’ll think of good stories to tell.

Any other dopers want to share a little diddy 'bout there first few weeks in college?

Sorry to reply to my own thread, but this is also for any people who have fond (or not so) memories of their earlier college career. Feel free to share.

Hmm. No parties as of yet. The actual work is amazingly easy. The calculus is high-school stuff, the C++ is pleasingly slow, and all of the teac-professors are amazingly cool.
