The esteemed @Monty has documented so instances that lesser mortals strain to keep pace. I am concerned for his personal wellbeing.
So a fantasy as a possible distraction:
As consequence of an unprecedented alignment of the planets and fate, you find yourself appointed as the Chief of Staff to POTUS XXVIII in January 2029.
Your administration has achieved a resounding landslide win in the 2028 General, sweeping red & blue states alike and hold a mandate for reform and even more so for restoration.
POTUS has granted you a personal favour for your sterling work towards the cause. You have the ability to determine the very first act of the new administration, presumably an Executive Order.
There will be plenty to follow, sure. But what are you going to make the seminal first action?
Not a vision to reform America.
A veto line through any action taken since January 20th 2025.
The most egregious in your judgement.
That which offends your person the most.
Maybe material, maybe symbolic.
Not necessarily the greatest good for the greatest number.
A simple repeal, not a grand act of reform with many interrelated working parts.
One and only one.
A brief “Why” if so inclined.
Hell, if we get enough options a poll might be constructed.

For the extra-Constitutional misconduct of the Trump administration, their lackeys in SCOTUS, and their allies in Congress, swift investigations and swift consequences. As well as Elon Musk, Peter Thiel, and other techbros who have likely committed crimes with the blessing of the administration.
Taking action on healthcare or climate or whatever is unimportant if we leave the risk of it being disassembled again by a band of mobsters in 4 short years. It’s irresponsible to try any real governance until checks and balances are restored.

First clean the Supreme Court, impeach and replace Trump’s lackeys.
Second, abolish ICE and Homeland Security, replace where appropriate with a far smaller, well trained and law-abiding force (if at all necessary).
Third, and most important, get to work on making the kind of idiocy that led to Trumpism harder to exist: Demonopolize the media, secure universal healthcare for all, reform whatever needs to be reformed to end gerrymandering, reform education, etc, etc.
Frankly, I don’t know what I would do. Once the clowns are out of office I HOPE that MAGA will fade away.
