Burn that witch!

I have no idea what you’re talking about. We were at your parents’ house when the Steelers lost to Arizona.
Robin
Oh, that’s right, I was. Thanks for eliminating that as a possibility.
And with the hex lifted, the Steelers are driving. Coincidence? I think not.
Where is the front line for Ben? Man we can’t lose to the Jets, that’s just embarrassing.
While we are at it, can anyone explain the Motorola RAZR commercials featuring Mangini? Did he film them before his Jets started to stink up the football fields?
Wow, the end of the Ravens game was something.
OK, 13-7 at the half isn’t too bad and Ben can still pull it out. But if the Jets are giving us trouble it doesn’t bode well when we go to New England.
I wouldn’t worry about it. The Steelers, for whatever reason, have historically played to the level of their opponents. Even when they were dominant in the 70s they didn’t exactly blow teams out.
It’s frustrating, but you learn to live with it.
This is unbelievably bad. How did the Jets take the Steelers to overtime?
Oh, well. Here’s hoping that they win the coin toss.
These guys are freakin’ killing me. Where is our D?
Well, that’s the game…
Wow. What a badly played game. Well I guess it keeps the division tight…
The division isn’t really much of a race. If you guys finish the year 3-3 the Browns would have to go undefeated to finish it out. I actually think it’s less likely that you go 3-3, as the Browns have an easy schedule from here on out - only one winning team, the bills, who probably won’t be a winning team in a few hours.
Edit: By the way, I wasn’t ducking out of my beating this week by not participating in this thread. Well, I sort of was. But I was extremely sick early in the week, and very busy later. I have the game on my computer and I was going to review it before I commented on it.
…and indeed it was. Good game from the Jets. Hopefully this momentum will carry over to Thanksgiving day so they beat the 'Girls.
Dammit. I’m rather displeased, to say the least. Next up for the Steelers: the Dolphins. Hopefully they’ll do better against such a hapless opponent, maybe work out their special teams problems.
Woops. 6-4 vs 7-3 with you holding the tie breaker, so I was wrong. If you go 3-3, you’d be 10-6, and the Browns would need to go 5-1 for 11-5. Still quite unlikely.
Edit: Wrong thread.
Hey the Browns do have to play Arizona in Arizona. That should be a tought game for them.
For the record:
To the best of my recollection, the Patriots have the highest point total I have ever seen in any game, regular season or not. The previous high was when the Redskins rang up 55 in the Super Bowl on the Broncos. And this with 12 minutes left on the clock.
Jesus Christ they are spectacular. I hope the Steelers can stand on their heads and beat them on the 9th.
Pardon me. I meant the 49ers, not the Redskins (Super Bowl XXIV).
The Bengals/Browns game of 2004 was 58-48 IIRC. (This year’s was 51-45).
We are just not a good team. In back to back weeks, our D gives up an opening drive touchdown. They gave up a 100 yards to a running back - the Jets running back for christs sake. Parker couldn’t break a single tackle, but nobody in Pittsburgh can see that you cannot build a running game on hope for the 40 yard run.
Seven sacks! We were in the red zone, with a first down, and ended up losing yards on back to back Willie Parker runs for losses and a sack.
The pooch kick is fine, but when all they need to tie the game and go into overtime is a field goal, how about risk it for the sake of field position. Not that our D could stop the Jets when they needed to.
Jesus. The only reason that we have seven wins is because we’ve gotten to play the Browns (twice) and the Bengals and Ravens.
