Me too! It doesn’t take a crystal ball to see the 'Skins have some work to do over the next couple of years, but at the very least I don’t want to see the Cowboys or the Ravens go deep. Better believe, BTW, that if the Ravens and Chargers should meet in January there will be no repeat of their earlier skirmish–Martyball was ditched for Cammyball immediately after that game and there’s no defense in the league that can handle them now, not even Baltimore.
Balitmore won’t win a playoff game, unless they happened to get matched up against Indy, which is unlikely. Even then, it’s not a given, only a cahnce.
True, but this sets up the inevitable Philadelphia suck. Philly teams are so skilled at whipping the fans into a frenzy, packing the sports bars, selling fan crappola, and then on playoff night, the rest of the US cocks an ear to the middle atlantic to hear Philly fans express their religious fervor with cries of, “JESUS CHRIST!!!” and “OH MY GOD!!” as their team performs the celebrated spin, flip, crash, and burn-usually in the crucial final moments of a game.
Bullshit. We shut down LT before, we’ll do it again. The Bolts don’t have any high quality WRs to open the game up downfield, and Rivers is a rookie showing signs of hitting the wall who won’t be able to do it all if LT is contained. Seattle is a middle of the road defense and they held down the Bolts for 59 minutes and 32 seconds last week. Boulware letting the WR get behind him on that last play was inexcusable, a Pop Warner league mistake. Believe you me, the Ravens won’t make mistakes like that.
Bullshit.
Beef, don’t you ever get tired of being wrong? I hate the Colts with far better reason than you hate the Ravens, but when they are good I’m willing to admit it. You just hate on the Ravens in the face of all evidence. The Ravens are going to Miami this year, and they are going to win their second Super Bowl trophy. Pretty sweet for the team that you guys ran out of town. Er…I forget…remind me again how many Lombardi trophies Cleveland has? :dubious:
This game has been a microcosm of the season. Pittsburgh dominates, but keeps the other team in it until the very end. Unbelievably they needed a choke from the Bengals’ kicker to make it to overtime. I’d like to see them march down the field and take Cinci’s heart (and their playoff chances) and end the season with a little self-respect (they just won the coin toss). But no, they’ll probably fumble it away. sigh
Bwahahahaha! I have never been so happy to be so wrong.
I take slace in the fact that the Steelers were the best team not to make the playoffs. I also take solace in the fact that Ocho-Cinco is calling for his tee times een as we speak.
I hope Bill returns, but if he doesn’t I wish him well. That is, unless he pulls a Vermeil and changes his mind next year and stabs the Rooneys in the back, in which case he can go to hell.
Am I wrong about a prediction of something that hasn’t even come to pass yet?
You don’t know my reasoning.
They weren’t ran out of town. Cleveland fans marched by the HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS in protest of the move. Art Modell’s own fuckups and greed and the NFL’s complicity aside from Rooney and Wilson (and Al Davis? Can’t remember) were the cause.
OK, since the Steelers are officially out of the playoffs, which team should a good Steeler fan root for? I have to root for someone, else the game’s no fun for me.
One co-worker claims that The Bears and The Steelers are mirror images of each other and therfore I should root for them. I may.
