The fix was in, apparently

Sure it isn’t for Dunning?

Yes, there is a difference. But is “setting up the infrastructure to maintain data offsite” illegal?

Hillary is the luckiest woman on Earth. The Friday commentators on NPR agreed that if the Republicans were running even so much as an acceptable human being she’d be in deep trouble, but because they’re running Trump she can’t lose. Trump is so bad that she could even be found in bed with a live woman or a dead boy and she’d still win. And that’s just what we need, isn’t it? Another dishonest Clinton openly doing Clinton things and daring us to do something as we pretend it never happened because the ends justify the means.

How did we end up in this mess? This is like puking on a pile of shit. Sophie had a better choice than we do.

While we’re miles apart on the Clintons, I agree with you about how bad the choices were this year, especially among the Republicans. I know that there are Republican politicians who aren’t some combination of stupid, crazy, or racist, so why didn’t more than one or two of them run, and why did the ones who did do so poorly when running against the likes of Trump, Cruz, and Carson?

I believe it all started when Mr. Trump took that down escalator to a news conference back in August or so of last year…

Why do you make this an either/or proposition ?

I honestly don’t know. I assume that at least it wasn’t at the time or else the FBI would have recommended prosecution. However, I’m having a difficult time with “extremely careless” on the one hand and “grossly negligent” on the other. If building an infrastructure that stores potentially classified data in an insecure offsite location isn’t grossly negligent, I really can’t imagine what would be.

I’ve read the Director’s statement. I wish he had gone into the particulars of the one prosecution under the 1917 law and told how the current case was different.

Kinda wondering right now if Comey’s emphasis on “gross negligence” is covering his ass. He knew that he couldn’t make a convincing case for indictment, so tried to serve up a consolation prize, damage Hillary as much as he could without trying to do what he couldn’t. If he said she was mostly just a bit careless and ill-informed, the Republicans would have given him the Bolton Treatment.

Why would they take him to http://www.cincinnati-oh.gov/water/about-greater-cincinnati-water-works/water-sources-resource-protection/ Cincinnati?

Because a very large and vocal group of Republican voters got together and decided that Donald Trump was the best, most qualified man to command the economic and military might of the United States of America.

Hillary’s constant lying about this subject is a real bummer.

Since the only thing I could reasonably count on Hillary to actually do for me, as a citizen of the country, is to put a Supreme Court justice in that won’t force little girls raped by their uncles to resort to coat hangers, I’ve been ready to vote for an alternative ever since she started campaigning. She revealed her nature to me when she ran against Obama in '08. She’s been detestable ever since.

Republicans really could have won my vote this cycle, but since they’re guaranteed to pack the court with the pro-coat-hanger justice of their choice, and they’ve chosen a retarded baboon who loves dictators as their nominee…

I predict any response from Cloth-humper will be two words with the initials “FO”.

Or perhaps “Good For You.”

Well, I’m willing to say that there were lies made by Clinton, but not as consequential as the Republicans are claiming. The thing that really bums me is that the Republicans did and continue to lie about the number of lies Clinton made and about why we should continue to give a hoot.

And we should not forget the big lie that Republicans told the public about having the “best intentions” that they had in looking so many times at Benghazi and then the email server.

Republicans care more about scoring points for their party than running the country. Film at 11.

Republicans care about scoring points with their party because they have demonstrated to the entire world they are totally incapable of running the country. Or a bake sale, for that matter.

Oh come on, Clothahump, I’m right-wing but I never thought for a moment that Hillary would be indicted, not because a fix would be put in but because it’s been pretty clear all through this that nothing she did justified criminal charges. I don’t like the woman’s politics but this constant cry from some quarters of the Republican party that she’s some kind of felon is absurd and does the party no service at all.

What hate? It was a statement of fact, nothing more.

I’ve read some incredibly ignorant posts on this board. This one went right into the top 5. If you had even two functioning brain cells to rub together and create a spark, you would have known that I have stated repeatedly that skin color is meaningless. But no, you just had to stick your head as far up your ass as you could just so you could the sound of your stupidity echo as you barfed it out.

In the words of the great philosopher Confucius: fuck off.
