I didn’t want to start a new thread to discuss each flip separately (mostly because I hope there’ll be so many of them), so this is now our Omnibus Flip thread.
There’s a good spreadsheet for keeping track of these elections maintained by Daily Kos.
And today’s flip is in New Hampshire. This is a 19-point shift toward the Democrats.
And one in CT, though this was actually a decrease in D % vote from 2016.
What the heck happened in the Kentucky HD-49 race to cause a freaking 86% shift to D? Am I reading that spreadsheet incorrectly?
It’s that Rebecca Johnson race - she ran to get her husband’s seat after he committed suicide over allegations of sexual assault.
Not really indicative of the overall swing, I think.
:smack: Of course; thanks galen.
Here’s AOL News on the Blue Wave so far: Democrats are sweeping statehouse seats, and it's making the GOP nervous
"Democrats on Tuesday added to their list of special election wins in Republican districts since President Trump took office, picking up a Missouri state Senate district in suburban Kansas City.
State Rep. Lauren Arthur (D) bested state Rep. Kevin Corlew (R) in Missouri’s 17th district, which covers parts of Clay County north of Kansas City."
Daily Kos is running a Google spreadsheet here, keeping track of all of these elections.
