Spurred by iiandyiiii’s success, I invite you to check out my horror/urban fantasy novel (no vampires!), “The Forgotten.” Here’s the blurb from the back cover:
*Jason Thayer always thought of himself as a pretty normal guy, all things considered. Yeah, there was the thing about his crazy sister, but she’s safely taken care of, far away from him. Lots of people are crazy these days. Seems to be going around. But she’s in good hands, and that’s all that matters to Jason.
Until she goes missing.
When Jason heads to the Bay Area to help search for her (how hard could it be to find one unhinged 17-year-old girl, anyway?), he has no idea that he and Normal are about to be parting company in a big and permanent way. From the moment a strange bum at a rest stop warns him to beware of odd symbols, Jason’s search for his sister leads him down a rabbithole of weirdness, dark magic, and deadly danger.
What do you do when you discover an extradimensional conspiracy that threatens the safety of the world, but the only people who believe you are even crazier than your sister?*
It’s 470 pages and available for $2.99 in ebook form and $13.99 in paperback. If you like it, I’ve already got the second book in the trilogy (561 pages) finished and currently in editing.
This is my first original novel, though I’ve written five complete web novels set in the Shadowrun game universe and I’ve done quite a bit of freelance work in various Shadowrun sourcebooks including the standalone adventure “On the Run” which was subsequently included as part of the Origins Award-winning “Runners’ Toolkit” box set. I’ll also have fiction in the upcoming Shadowrun 5 core rulebook, and in the “Shadowrun Returns” game anthology (I’m still kind of pinching myself over this, since I’ll be in the company of ‘real’ authors like Mike Stackpole).
Anyway, if you think the book looks like something you might like, check it out! I’m really kind of terrible at marketing myself, so reviews are highly appreciated to help me get the word out!
