Mucho gardening to do this weekend. I’m replacing the ones that didn’t make it. Every year I collect cool succulents, and every summer the freakiest ones die. Also, rosemary is now an annual in my book. It couldn’t possibly be me screwing up the watering, nope.
Well, we didn’t win the game - lost to Huntsville 3-2. Oh well. I was really impressed by one of our new players - great defenseman, which we need. It was nice seeing a bunch of people I haven’t seen since March, and the guys championship rings are awesome.
There’s another game tomorrow night, so I’m hoping for a better outcome. I really need to change seats - banging on the glass is not good for my poor hands.
I just got in from a wild evening of crazy happenings. Which consists of me going over to a friend’s house, having exactly one drink (so that I could drive home with zero worries 5 hours later), and playing a lot of Outburst, and general conversation.
But I got totally hot guy’s phone number, and he called me after I left.
Rain rain rain rain rain rain… So much for gardening this afternoon. But I’m glad for the rain, and it’s supposed to be kinda nice tomorrow, so I may get those bulbs in yet.
Apparently it thundered last night, too, but I didn’t hear it. I did awake to find a cat plastered to my side - he’s a real wuss when it rains. I also noticed the dog snuck into our room - she also is a wuss. It’s pouring right now and I’m about to leave for ceramics class - I expect my sweetie will awake surrounded by wussy animals. hehehe

Good Saturday morning all! ACBG and I went out to breakfast. Then, I went to the liquor store and the grocery store. ACBG went in to work to do some paper work but he says he’ll be finished by noon. He best be cause there’s a doin’s at the swampcave around three this afternoon. Nuttin’ big. Just some friends who want to hang out at the pool one last time. Supposed to be mid 80s this afternoon so I guess that’s pool weather though the water is cold. The water temp at seven thirty this morning was 58 degrees. Brrr. It’ll warm up some during the day but not a whole lot. Maybe to upper 60s. Anyways just hangin’ out around the pool and cookin’ hot dogs will be fun. Also, I’m gettin’ a hair cut. I get a lot of hair cuts around the pool. See, a good friend is also the only person I let cut my hair now. Since he comes out here a lot, he just brings his clippers when it’s time for me to have a hair cut. I sit in one of the poolside bar chairs, drape a sheet around myself and instant barber shop!
I could take a nap right now. I just might. I like Saturday naps. Saturday naps are good. Of course, naps anyday are good. Just Saturday (and Sunday) naps are especially good.
I need to remember not to go to World Market. I don’t need any more addictions! I should make some cookies today, but I feel really lazy. Maybe a nap first, and then cookies. Or maybe two naps. It’s just that kind of day. I have to decide–nap or coffee. It’s hard to get going when it’s not sunny.

I’ve been offline for a couple days, taking care of Popeye and the boyfriend. Poor Popeye developed some sort of side effect/reaction where he acts like he has something in his mouth and starts gagging and pawing violently at his mouth. It sort of looks like his tongue goes haywire and he can’t get it back in position and it freaks him out. A couple of the doctors think it could just be a sore throat from the endotracheal tube, but one aslo mentioned the possibility of nerve damage (which I was worried about). So I now have him on an antibiotic and antiinflammatory steroid. He only does it when he’s licking or swallowing but this makes it hard for him to eat. I have to hold him and stroke his throat and he seems to settle down but it’s very upsetting for both of us. He usually ends up sleeping on my chest whenever I sit down and he spends the night next to me in bed but I kept waking up all night to check on him whenever I felt him move. I worked about 5 hours today and I took him with me for some subq fluids and to keep an eye on him. I have to work eight hours tomorrow so I think I will be taking him with me to work again. He’s so sweet that anyone can pick him up and hold him and he goes right to sleep.
You know, I’ve been completely useless today, except for cleaning up my room. However, that’s the only thing that I’ve done all day, and I’ve been up for almost 5 whole hours.
You know, we could get to the 6th page this week. Maybe even 7. We’ll have to be super-aggressive on Sunday.

I haven’t accomplished too much today. Did some Halloween decorating this morning. Also cleaned out some of my container plantings, since it’s supposed to be pretty cold this week. Placed the plants I’m hoping to winter over in the garage, for the moment. They’ll be moving down to the basement during the week (I need to clean out a space and hang the plant light. OK - it’s a shoplight, but it should be enough to keep some of the plants going. Also, some are going into the living room and bedroom…
Went to look at some laptops - I’m hoping to acquire one soon - and then bought a very nice, enormous chrysanthemum. Should be perfect for one of the containers I emptied. It looks so sad without flowers.
Need to go locate something to eat and maybe rearrange the pantry - it’s a big enough mess that I had no idea that I didn’t have diced or crushed tomatoes for spaghetti sauce the other day…

Another boring Saturday in Chez Bobbio. I went out and bought some new duds, 'cuz the smallest jeans I have on hand are losing the battle with gravity. I don’t want some poor schmuck to have to claw his or her eyes out in terror and disgust when I inadvertantly moon them…
I’ve now dropped 4 sizes in my blue jeans since June. It’s way cool, but it’ll get expensive having to change sizes every 2-3 months…
I’m sure swampy, especially, would love to see you moon someone.

And I’m here to announce that it’s officially Autumn. I just finished installing the window panels in my storm doors. Earlier today, I slid the screens up and pulled the storm windows down. We’re now winterized. I concede that we’ll likely not have any more open window days till spring. Alas…
Went to brunch after church. Not very good for the price, unfortunately. It was $12.00, which didn’t include coffee. Food was… meh… Not bad, but the only part that was really really good were the mini-muffins. And there are only so many of those you (or at least I) can eat.
Now I’m pondering what to do with my afternoon before heading over to a friend’s for dinner… Hmmm…
Maybe some laundry and other assorted clean up. Should probably clean out the fridge and see what I need for the week.

I gots me a pot of veggie beef soup simmering on the stove - yummmmmmm. But somehow I can’t get myself motivated to go outside and plant bulbs. I really need to get them in the ground. I just don’t want to do it today.
