As I recall, when Dick was racing (he is done now, right? I don’t hear the name anymore, but I don’t follow NASCAR), the Sportscenter guys would always announce his name, no matter how irrelevant it was to the winner’s circle.

“Dale Earnhardt won the big race, despite only leading for the last 10 laps. And Dick Trickle finished 12th.”

I never followed NASCAR, but that was one of my favorite parts of old Sportscenter. Oh Dan Patrick and Keith Olbermann, I miss you guys.
