The Gaudere Event Horizon

I enjoyed reading this thread in GQ, but I started to get a sinking feeling. This thread is devoted entirely to a discussion of spelling, punctuation, and grammatical errors. How long before it crosses the Gaudere Event Horizon, beyond which it is physically impossible to write anything other than spelling, punctuation, and grammatical errors? Is it even possible to cross the horizon, or would we be torn apart by the typo forces before we reach it? Do we really know what lies beyond, or do we only have linguists’ theories and speculations?

I’m going to be up all night worrying about this, I just know it.

What lies beyond the Gaudere Event Horizon? Easy: French. :: D&R ::
