I was out cruising the net as usual and ran across some information about something called “The Georgia Guidestones”.
The Georgia Guidestones can be found on one of the highest hilltops in Elberton County, Georgia and is a huge granite monument. The monument is engraved in eight different languages and on the four giant stones that support the common capstone are 10 Guides, or commandments.
They are:
Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature.
Guide reproduction wisely - improving fitness and diversity.
Unite humanity with a living new language.
Rule passion - faith - tradition - and all things with tempered reason.
Protect people and nations with fair laws and just courts.
Let all nations rule internally resolving external disputes in a world court.
Avoid petty laws and useless officials.
Balance personal rights with social duties.
Prize truth - beauty - love - seeking harmony with the infinite.
10.Be not a cancer on the earth - Leave room for nature - Leave room for nature.
I don’t know about you folks, but that first commandment blows my mind. It seems to suggest that most of us need to go…
You can check this link out to read for yourselves and to see a few pictures of the monument:
Well, to tell the truth, I think that one rich nut comissioning a stone that has vague new-age declarations on it is hardly proof of a super-secret “New World Order”.
There is a man in Hazel Dell, Washington who is slowly building a castle. Would you consider this proof that the Knights Templar is reforming in the N.W.?
No, I’d just think the guy appreciates medievel architecture…
Anyway, back on topic…the site says that the site glorifies The Age of Reason, a book written by Thomas Paine. It says that the intent of Paines book was to destroy the Judeo-Christian beliefs upon which our Republic was founded.
I never offered the information as proof, but rather the existance of the fact that some (at least this one wealthy guy) embrace the NWO as I’ve defined.
…could be…but I’d interpret this thread to show that some go looking for information and evidence while others shut down their curiosity long ago, confidently telling themselves that they already [/]know[/] all the answers…
Krispy, please tell me that you are relying on more than this stone for proof of some secret “New World Order”.
If I were running a secret group intent on running the world, i wouldn’t advertise on large stones where everyone could see it.
Of course…this new information is but one more small piece of information that shows that there are those that truly *do[i/] espouse the NWO philosophy. Is a NWO philosophy secret?..nah…hasn’t been for some time…the only secrets are the details of a NWO implementation.
Ok. This isn’t about some stone a nutcase had built. This is about a conspiracy theory involving something called a New World Order. Let’s procede from there, then.
Could you please tell me what you think the goals of the group is, and who might be members of this group. References other than a stone would be appreciated.
No, this thread is about the Georgia Guidestones… The guidestones seem very NWOish and I can’t pass the same judgement that you do that the guy that commissioned them is a “nutcase”.
I can’t assume that he was acting alone either.
The fact that the ultra-wealthy and powerful seek to control things is well documented. Is it such a leap of faith to believe that they might be somewhat organized and planning for power and control on a world-level?
I have nothing to add, but I just wanted to break up the monotony, lest any newbie comes in here and thinks ALL threads are just conversations amongst two people…
. . . assuming, of course, that there really is a NWO . . .
I don’t get what you’re asking here, Krispy. Are you asking if there is an NWO? Or are you asking if there are people who believe there is? I’d have to say no to the first, yes to the second.
Your answer to #2 is obviously correct considering the evidence cited in the OP.
Your answer to #1 is your opinion and may or may not be correct…I’m still searching for the critical mass of evidence. I’d be interested in knowing how or why you and Slythe have decided to “pitch tent” on the answer to the question…what evidence do you have that might be persuasive?
BTW, what do you think about commandment #1?
Has some pretty disturbing ramifications doesn’t it?
Admittedly, no evidence that such a thing doesn’t exist, but we all no where that leads. It just my observation of human nature that it’s difficult to get people to work together or to hide conspiracies. Although, if there is a wide-reaching conspiracy among the rich and powerful, we at least can rest assured that they always eventually turn on each other.
If anything, my fear is the continued corporatization, for lack of a better word, of the world. While I’m all in favor of improving the economic conditions of the poor, I question the morality of basically moving your corporation to places where the government will imprison or shoot workers for you if they try to organize.
I do agree that the ramifications of #1 are frightening. For one thing, when people say this about nonhuman animal populations, the answer is usually to shoot or poison large numbers of them.
I appreciate your fair, honest, and thoughtful post.
Your reason for not believing in a NWO conspiracy while valid and acceptable for you doesn’t fit for me. I’ve not quite figured out human nature completely and I’m still sometimes surprised by what humans do.
If there is in fact a NWO conspiracy in the works, its downfall will probably be the internet and world-wide sharing of ideas and information. If the day ever comes that the internet gets shut down or severely regulated and inhibited, I’ll choose to interpret that as a warning sign and I’ll probably grab some weapons, food, and head for the hills!
