(Old) The Gift of Life in the MMP

Some people might be horrified by this, but my mom taught me a Polish summer meal for super-hot days.

The only thing you cook is rice, and if you have a rice cooker, it’ll barely warm up your kitchen.

While that’s cooking, slice (and macerate - soak in sugar - if you’re fancy) the berries, and procure heavy cream.

Bowl. Rice. Strawberries. Pour cream on the whole thing. Don’t waste the sweet strawberry syrup if you went that route - and I suggest you don’t, it’s delishush. Nice on ice cream.

Sounds weird, but in the middle of summer it makes a delightful snack, or light side for whatever else you got goin’ on.

You’ve turned into a salt lick. Watch out for deer & porcupines.
