Also, the idea that Eleanor got there because of some one-in-a-wacky-high-number coincidence that was so ludicrously improbable as to be unforeseen – okay, we grant that because otherwise there’s no series. But as soon as we find out that a second person got in on an unrelated coincidence-mixup? In retrospect, that makes way more sense if those are just lies, since the alternative is that heaven made two of those almost-never-happens mistakes right next door to each other.

Only heard of this show when the 2nd season recently premiered. After watching that I flash binged the first season to see what was happening. I love the Jason character, pure stupidity. Looks like they’re going somewhere with Janet this season. I’ll keep watching for a while.

In my head, I reconciled that because Michael kept saying that it was his first time being in charge of a neighborhood. I chalked it up to new guy, in over his head, doesn’t know what he’s doing, makes some mistakes incompetence. It was also plausible (at the time) that other good place neighborhoods had similar mistakes (the idea that the afterlife is a bureaucracy that can get mismanaged is something that pops up frequently) - and Michael just didn’t know about them.
Before taking it, I’m expecting Chidi.
