And Baker, you asked about my recent musical exploits. I didn’t do much singing last year because I was rather unwell, but I got back into it in December for the usual performances of Messiah. We’ve also just been doing some gigs in the Sydney Festival (held in summer each year). I’m skipping the next lot of performances because I’m fleeing the heat of Sydney for a taste of northern hemisphere weather. I’m really looking forward to some sub-zero temperatures, ice and snow.
I don’t even hand-write my grocery list anymore. I do hand-write 1 check a month. Mine is generally bad, but I focused hard on trying to make the postcards legible. I hope I managed it!
Yes, Butterfly’s Ghost was very much on the ball for this one. Mine was waiting for me last night. 
It featured an animated mouse that has been popular for decades, and a lovely message for me. What a nice little treat!

Got a cute one from grrlbrarian – a picture of one of those creepy yet uber-perky 50s housewives with the caption “make your own damn dinner” and a cheerful note with an admonition to give my kittehs an extra snuggle on her behalf. (Done!)
Oddly, the post office didn’t give me a cool round stamp for the international card … Just a boring printout sticker. Boo.

Mine went in the mail yesterday. Postcards are hard to come by in this city. I stocked up.
I also received my first one yesterday. A lovely beach scene from Cunctator. It is well appreciated here in the Great White North. We have so much snow. At least it is sunny today.
I stocked up too – in anticipation of doing this again! (The museums are downtown and a pain in the @$$ for me to get to right now, but I found a whole book of cards at a bookstore and just rolled with that. I may never need to buy more postcards for the rest of my life.)
