I got a card today from FairyChatMom, with pictures some Chesapeake Bay lighthouses. We used to live in Virginia Beach, so I’ve seen a few of those too. Very cool, thanks!

I got a very nice bonus card from Allecher of a nebula in the constellation Scorpius, my zodiac sign. I’d say that’s the furthest distance of a postcard to me! Thank you!
I sent my cards about half an hour ago.
Today I got two cards!! One is from Elendil’s Heir, a lovely picture of Erato, one of the Muses, painting by an 18th century French artist. The other is from needscoffee, and is an amazing photograph of Mt. Rainier. I could have recognized the mountain as I was stationed at Ft. Lewis, WA, in 1977.

One from Maus Magill, bringing greetings from Mord… erm, Nashville. When I was staying in TN a few years ago, the friend I was staying with referred to that tower as the “Batman Building”.

A very fine card arrived today from FairyChatMom. It featured an aerial photo of the Naval Air Station – Patuxent River, Maryland. Beautiful blue water and planes. Seems like an awesome place! Thanks!

Oops, guilty as charged. All of mine were mailed last Friday. But I didn’t miss rule 6! 
Only a Doper would send a postcard of a diving pig! It’s great, Biotop!! But now I’m sad that Aquarena Springs no longer exists - I would so have gone there!

The first time I saw this county, I was in the Navy, and I flew down in a helo with some mucky-mucks from the Pentagon to Pax to see the then-new F/A-18. I remember how much green was down below us!
When we moved to Virginia in the late 90s, we kept our boat in Solomons, so we drove thru St. Mary’s county a lot. And when we left Florida in 2004, we knew this is where we wanted to be. It’s coming up on 14 years, and we’ve never regretted it.
In the mailbox today: a postcard from needscoffee! It’s a nice view of Seattle’s Pioneer Square, where the term skid row originated and home of the famous Seattle Underground (where Kolchak chased a serial killer in the second episode of The Night Stalker). Thanks!
I received a card today from Paris, Texas from txobbin. It is a picture of a mini Eiffel Tower, with a giant red cowboy hat on the top. I wouldn’t have put a red cowboy hat on it, but when I first looked at the picture, I thought that might be a MAGA hat, so cowboy hat is preferable. Thanks, txobbin!
