Received two cards yesterday- the start if something interesting from our fearless leader and very glad to see that BeeGee [Del]managed to escape[/Del] is enjoying time away from the [Del]institution[/Del] old homestead.
Well, look at me, signing up for the Exchange, then leaving the country and forgetting all about it. Luckily, when I got home yesterday I was reminded when I saw that there were two postcards from Lsura in my box! The first is a really cool lenticular one of the CNN headquarters in Atlanta. And I got a bonus postcard! This one features a photo of Patience, guard lion extraordinaire, in front of the NYC Public Library, one of my favorite buildings in the world.
On the bright side, I have a stockpile of postcards and stamps here, and all three of mine are in my mailbox for pickup tomorrow morning.

One with a photo of The Kelpies giant horse head statues in Scotland.
And one of El Teilde volcano in the Canary islands.
I have a postcard from Allecher, a picture of the Witch Head Nebula.
I’m trying to come up with a good story for the picture of a log Helena 330 sent. Got two from here.
Ivory Tower Denizen sent one from Martha’s Vineyard.
And Enstein’s Hund sent me a piece of mouse.
Just got a postcard from RealityChuck, showing the marquee of Proctor’s Theatre in Schenectady, N.Y. Thanks! Looks like a fun place.
I was getting concerned, but I got a postcard from romansperson today of the Watani Grasslands Reserve at the NC Zoo, where the animals roam free. Sounds lovely. Thanks, romansperson. (I don’t want to blame the Amazing Mailman Eddie for the delay, but we sometimes have a backup mail carrier that I am willing to blame.)
From what I remember, it’s some guys who are proud of their gigantic log.

You’ve got to remember, post cards are hard to automate, so a lot of their processing will be done by hand.
Next year, I think I’ll print off labels. That way the Post Office won’t have to try to decypher my chicken scratch.
I was pleasantly surprised by a mailbox full of cards today!
Teuton has me researching vacations to Tenerife based on the beautiful view on his card.
Maus Magill has taught me the real meaning behind the “Batman Building” and it is not what you think.
And cornflakes sent a packet of cards that confirms what I’ve always heard about Texas A&M. (Woo Pig Sooie!)

RealityChuck has not yet posted here about sending or receiving any cards, although two of his three designated recipients have posted that they’ve received cards from him.
MovieMogul has also not yet posted here about sending or receiving any cards. None of his three designated recipients have said they’ve gotten anything from him.
