The Great Un-Fork Hillary Thread

Here’s the thing, and Republicans don’t seem to get it: pointing out bad stuff about Hillary Clinton is a losing game, because one of Mrs. Clinton’s core strategic messages, which the majority of the public has already signified agreement with, is “Yeah, but I’m not nearly as bad as the Republicans”.

As a person, maybe not, we’ve seen worse. His ideology, reflected in his budget plans, oh yeah, a whole lot - well outside even the Republican mainstream.

That was a joke. Perhaps in bad taste, but it wasn’t meant to be serious.

He knew the mike was on. Just like Reagan knew it when he declared “My fellow Americans, I’m pleased to tell you today that I’ve signed legislation that will outlaw Russia forever. We begin bombing in five minutes.”

And btw, Man Pleased To Find Most Of His Mid-’90s Anti-Hillary Rant Still Usable, says The Onion.

You’re point bring… What? People don’t tell jokes when the mike is on?

Yes, he knew the mike was on. He probably thought he was being clever. Who knows. But it was still a joke. A joke in bad taste, but a joke nonetheless.

That a politician mature enough to be trusted with a senior executive position should know better.

Was that really not obvious?

Humor…it is a difficult concept.

That’s an interesting opinion.

No. I don’t pretend to be able to read minds. That’s why I asked.

If you’re trying to be the commander in chief of the largest military in the world, there are some things you don’t fucking joke about. Not unless you’re an immature, entitled brat like McCain. How fucking funny do you think the Iranians found McCain’s feeble-minded attempt at humor? If Obama did nothing but save us from Presidents McCain and Romney, he should go on Mt. Rushmore.

So, how about that Hillary Clinton? Is it time to un-fork her?

What did you mean? If she is certain to win, is she “done” or is it only if she is bound to lose? I’d say she is certain to win, so it’s time to fork the clowns she has to run against.

I think he means that we should get back on topic.

No candidate polling at 45-46% against unknowns is certain to win anything.

Until you plug in the names of any Knowns.

There are no knowns to plug in yet, but we shall soon see. Latest polls:

She trails Bush in Virginia, although she leads all the other candidates there by between 2 and 5 points. Hmm, Bush is pretty well known, and he’s leading in Virginia. Looks like a known was plugged in in a state that Obama won twice, and Clinton is apparently not going to win it. Too bad.

Note the generic Congressional poll too. GOP +3. If that holds up, the GOP will GAIN seats, not lose them.

LOL. A poll before the primary has even started has Bush slightly ahead of Clinton in Virginia, and that’s enough to say she’s not going to win it. Vintage adaher.

She trailed Bush in exactly one poll by less than the MOE. Clinton still leads in polling average.

Link.

Those other polls must all be skewed.

I did not predict that Bush would win Virginia. Only noting that as of today, Clinton would not beat Bush in Virginia. Her poll standing is in free fall. We haven’t seen the bottom yet.
