The Great Un-Fork Hillary Thread

“The fundamentals of the economy are strong,” said while the economy was crashing like a 747 fueled by peanut butter, didn’t “sink” McCain?? REALLY??? It went a long way towards establishing just how out of touch he was with reality.

As for Romney, “binders full of women” did him no favors.

That was prolly my favorite quote from Mittens during that election. It just seems so surreal and desperate to me, I can’t help but Let’s go to the quarry and throw stuff down there.

Speaking of surreal: you realize this quarry thing is going to sink any future presidential ambitions, right?

It’s hard to tell whether McCain was sunk by “The fundamentals of the economy are strong”, or by his pick of Palin for VP, since they were so close together in time. But he was definitely sunk by one of those, or some combination, and in either case, it was his statements.

If anything, the Palin pick gave him just about his only really bump of the campaign.

I thought McCain did himself in by suspending his campaign because of the fiscal crisis and then sitting in a corner pouting when the grownups were talking in the White House about what to do. That and being a worthless piece of shit in the first place.

No one told him about Viagra?

Bob Dole certainly should have, being a celebrity spokesperson for it in his post-campaign years.

Another poll confirms that Clinton is not doing well in NH, either against Sanders or against Republicans:

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/latest_polls/

She leads Trump, trails all other Republicans. We’re seeing a discrepancy now between swing state polls and national polls.

EDIT: Oops, sorry, she leads Rubio as well, by 1. This isn’t the first set of NH polls showing her trailing Republicans either. It looks like her weakness in NH is pretty well established now, and NH is a state that went for Obama both times.

The margin of error is larger than the “lead” you’re crowing about. Looking at the details, it’s running 3.8. So a lead of +2 could be larger or actually behind.
Bit early to be counting a win.

Who is counting a win? I just said “weakness”. NH is not ready for Hillary.

I suspect it’s one of the few states where Sanders would probably do better in a general election.

Damning with faint prose.

Nothing is confirmed. She could very well be leading. Or she could be farther behind than the polls show. There’s no way to tell.

In any event, though, she’s certainly not leading by very much.

God will get you for that, Walter.

Clinton does the right thing and turns over her private email server.

Hopefully this is her turning over a new leaf and being more transparent.

Or just taking away another of the Benghazi hyenas’ excuses.

Sanders ahead of Clinton in Boston Herald/Franklin Pierce poll of New Hampshire. Time to panic? Not really. As Nate Silver pointed out a month ago, “Bernie Sanders could win Iowa and New Hampshire. Then lose everywhere else.

You think the right are going to stop getting hysterical about Hillary and her emails? Pull the other one, it’s got bells on…

True, but let it be noted that I predicted that Clinton was going to lose New Hampshire.

And while it’s not time to panic, all it really shows is that Clinton can beat a non-Democrat in a Democratic primary campaign if she outspends him 10-1. But can she beat a real Democrat? Joe Biden?
