Personally, I’m astonished that it’s taken this long for Kim Possible/Shego (aka “Kigo”) to be mentioned.
Seconded.
Michael Rosenbaum left the show a few years ago, making it pretty much irrelevant. Irrelevanter. You’re right, though, that was some serious hoyay while it lasted.
Oh yeah. “Clex.” I’m pretty sure that entire show was based on marketing surveys of slash fiction writers.
Much like Supernatural, actually.
Supernatural. The slash isn’t canon, but the slashers are.
I can’t decide whether or not the people behind the show intentionally set up their ships to be, um, repulsive. I mean, slashers are kinda sick in the head, they might have said “let’s make sure there are no socially acceptable feasible relationships in this show! You know our twisted fangirls will love it.” The slashers’ favorite ship? Incestuous. Second favorite? Actually blasphemous. WTF Kripke.
Read the whole thread. ::p:
E-mailed it to myself at home; I’ll be back later.
Not surprising as the actress who played Lana had all the range of a two-by-four with boobs attached. The actress who plays Lois has lot more chemistry with Clarkie boy, relatively speaking.
I’m surprised no one mentioned Xena/Gabrielle. They’re the reason femslash exists in the first place.
I’ve been watching a bunch of Smallville recently & the show is filled with all sorts of slash fodder
Lex/Clark-natch
Lana/Cloe- they are roomates in season 2 plus it almost happened with the shapeshifter girl.
Clark/Pete
and then you could go for the hatesex triangle of Lionel/Lex/Jonathan Kent.
Or for later seasons theres Clark/Green Arrow.
Damn I watch entirely too much tv.
Rosencrantz and Guildenstern is too obvious, of course – though they could have a three-way with Prince Hamlet. But what would be interesting would be to continue after the last act with the two surviving characters: Horatio and Fortinbras.
When it comes to Shakespeare, my favorite slash couple is Antonio/Sebastian in Twelfth Night. Antonio loved him so much
The thread is making me really want to reread Hamlet with a bottle of wine and write some iambic pentameter’d Hamlet/Horatio. I’ll need the bottle of wine, though… I’m not a natural slasher, but I love dorking with Shakespeare. I also think the idea of Jeeves/Wooster is really kind of charming.
On a related note… slash from the Ultima games because incredibly weird and surreal when you know the guys on whom the characters are based. Just sayin’.
The top headline on the local paper’s website: “House Punishes Wilson”. And I was all, yeah, baby.
And then I realized, and then, ew.
That took me an embarrassing amount of time. My brain just went right there.
