A few years back, while my wife was visiting what was still the Soviet Union, she stayed with a host family that served a cake that she really liked.
She asked them what kind of cake it was, and they told her a name in Russian, when they translated it for her, they told her it literally meant “The guest is here.”
Does anybody have an inkling of what goes into this cake?
