Turn 2: Unstable Portal -> Pit Lord (cost 1)
Turn 3: Unstable Portal -> Toshley, play Pit Lord.
Turn 4: Play Toshley.
Turn 5: Defender of Argos between Toshley and Pit Lord.

Game over.

You could play the mid-range style “demonlock” where you use Voidcallers to put high-cost (in terms of mana cost or summon penalty) demons onto the field and then win off of the tempo.

Aha, good point. Do you happen to have a link to any popular decks built like that? Using it to get doomguards on the field would be nice.

If Jaraxxus is played early by that mechanism, he gets on the board as a 3/15 minion, rather than taking over your hero, right? So that could be a gamble if you have Jaraxxus in your hand, but then I guess a 3/15 minion isn’t the worst thing ever.

Trump had a modified zoo/demonlock thing the other day. As far as I know this is the list: Trump's 'Secret Weapon' Deck - Hearthstone Decks

Seems decent.

Thanks. I’m going to give that a go. I only have to craft the second imp-plosion and another dark iron dwarf.

In fact, a 3/15 on the board is exactly what you want. For zoo, games rarely get to turn 9 anyway. The way zoo wins is by controlling the board, and a 3/15 trades extremely well in the early and mid game, giving you massive card advantage.

Unless it gets Shadow Madness’d and recombobulated into Ysera. :frowning:

Oh, and congrats on the gold legendary! It’s just a cosmetic rarity thing, you can basically dust it to make any other legendary you want, but id keep jarraxxus. Lucky you, to this day I’ve never opened a gold legendary!

Then you just sigh, tend your clothes and pay penance to lord RNGesus

I wonder if I should disenchant, make a Dr. Boom, use it in every deck, profit, and then when Dr. Boom gets nerfed, I can disenchant that for full value and get a Rag or whatever.

I’ve heard some people say things like that, but I personally wouldn’t do it. Boom isn’t that good that it would be an auto nerf by bliz, and it’s not a card that enables unique play styles like jarraxxus. Functionally, it’s not all that much better than a boulder fist ogre (which can’t be bghed)

I would personally never disenchant golden Jaraxxus. Jaraxxus is basically the most golden golden card - a gold minion who becomes a gold hero with a gold weapon and gold hero ability that creates more gold minions.

That’s golden.

That’s actually a really good point. If you were going to gold any single card in the game, Jaraxxus seems to have the highest cosmetic effect of any card by a large margin.

Golden Ysera is a strong competitor, since that’s a greater number of golden cards. You don’t necessarily see them all at once though. Golden Thoughtsteal is pretty slick too.

After 5 months of awful card draws, I just unpacked another legendary with my next pack. In fact, another golden legendary.

The Mighty … Captain Greenskin.

I assume I can safely disenchant him and craft anything, right? He seems pretty worthless.

Unless you have some burning desire to build some pirate rogue deck, I’d craft something more generally useful (Boom, Rag, or Sylvanas would be my top picks if you’re missing any of them).

I’ll probably make Rag, since I’ve wanted that all along. Sylvanas is tempting though, she can be a pain in the ass, included in most decks, and comes into play pretty early.

Been doing well with this mid-range warlock deck. Something like 10-3, from rank 15 to 12

Would it be viable if I crated Malganis to run both of them in this midrange warlock deck? I could become pretty hard to kill.

SO. JELLY.

I’m actually running him in my Oil Rogue (as a backloaded Assassin’s Blade, less vulnerable to Harrison), but yeah, pretty niche. Definitely worth dusting for rag or Sylv.

Personally, I would never craft class legendaries before neutral legendaries, especially if you don’t have rag, sylv, boom. Sylv in particular goes into most decks reasonably well, and learning how to play sylv is very interesting. Rag is just yolo, but your sylv is only as good as you are - you need to learn when and how to set up a board good for her.

Malganis in particular is not very good. It’s only reasonable if you can voidcaller it out, or where you’re stacking it with Jarraxus in a handlock deck for more threats (4 giants, rag, sylv, exhaust all your opponent’s answers). Dies to BGH, immune is worth less than you think, and the demon buff is not very reliable.
