Actually, it is “mange tout”, but in the French sense of mange meaning “eat” and tout meaning “all”. See Post #9 of this thread.

Please, guys, save the glowing praise for my funeral, which I hope will not be happening for a long time yet!
I truly appreciate and understand your concern, but I just wanted to slip away quietly for a break of indefinite duration; quietly because I think “I’m leaving and here’s why…” threads are most often silly and regrettable and I didn’t want to do that.
A few stupid things happened (that I won’t discuss here) that seemed to have affected me grossly out of proportion to their objective worth; this surprised and perplexed me and I just needed (and still need) to take some time out to let it all fade away.
For the record, I’m sure my political stance (as indeed many other aspects of my life) is quite riddled with conflict, contradiction and inconsistency, but I kind of like it that way; keeps me on my toes and thinking. I’m pretty certain I’m not a hard-leftie, at least by local standards, but it’s all relative, and that wasn’t the problem, anyway.
But thanks folks, for thinking of me, and thanks to those that reached out to me by email. I’m going to keep a fairly low profile for a bit and give priority to some other areas of my life, just for a little while.
