The hex has been broken! The curse is over!

During my lifetime (I’m 40) I must have been to close to 100 Milwaukee Brewer baseball home games. I went to most of those when I was a kid. Now, I know this is going to be hard to believe, but…EVERY SINGLE GAME I’VE EVER ATTENDED, THEY LOST!! I shit you not! I had never been to a Brewer home game where they won! I can prove this, as I kept all the programs I bought during the games. They always lost!:frowning: Even in 1981 (the year they went to the playoffs) and 1982 (the year they went to the World Series) when I attended a home game, they would lose! One time I showed up late for a double header. The first game was in the bottom of the 7th inning when I arrived, and the Brew Crew was ahead like 8-2 or something. They had been ahead the entire game. Guess what! They lost 10-2! Then they lost the second game too! I tell you, there was a hex on me! I was cursed to only attended home games where they lost!

Today I took my youngest (15) to the game, Brewers v.s. Giants. It was the first game I’ve seen in their new stadium. (hell, I might as well go, I helped pay for the @#$ing thing:mad: )

Guess what? THEY WON! THE BREWERS WON!!:):):)

For the first time in my entire life, I actually attended a Milwaukee Brewer home game where they won! I feel like a kid! I actually walked out of the stadium happy! The hex has been broken! The curse is over!

 That is all. Resume your normal activities.

Um…

I smell a tall tale.

I have never, in all my 28 years, seen the LSU Tigers win a football game. This wouldn’t be an issue if it weren’t for the fact that I went to school there, and so saw many of the games one way or another. They could be up by three touchdowns in the 4[sup]th[/sup] quarter, and I’d walk by a TV with the game on and glance at it. Inevitably, the next issue of the school paper would scream “Heartbreaking Loss for the Tigers” with a subheading of “Lynch Mob Seeks [Balance]”.

People turned off TVs and radios when they saw me coming.

Oops. I meant they lost by 2. The final score was something like 10-8. I’m not sure what the exact final score was, as I had only written down the score of the second game in the program I saved. But I do remember them screwing up a several run lead late in the game right after
I arrived.

Being ahead 8-2 then losing 10-2 would be kind of impossible huh. Of course, with the course that was on me, anything was possible. :stuck_out_tongue:

Poor pkbites… A gypsy once put a course on me too.

No, anyway… My father has banned me from watching a UK Wildcats football game with him ever again for just this same reason.
